Our Z made 371whp with intake and exhaust, but your still talking almost 80-90 less than a C6Z. I want to run a C6Z in my Cobra, lol or when we TT our Z

That was me in t he C6 Z06..

My car made 460 rwhp, so I am making about 100 more rwhp than the C5 Z06. The results were to be expected. It was fun and day time videos rock.

FADI..Ive been dying to see vids of stock 2002 c5Z06's vrs stock gen 2 vipers on roll races. if you know were some are please show me the way..

lots of vids of gen3 vipers vrs C6Z06's lately..looks pretty close and like a drivers race from what Ive seen..

BTW..Like you said..117 trapps vrs 126 mph trapps isnt even a race..More like a mercy run..

that be like a 104 mph trapping fastest ever stock 350Z running a half decently driven 113 mph trapping 2001 Z06. No contest

I had so many vids of me and a gen II RT/10 when I had my C5 Z06, but damn it I can't find the tape. Anyways, here is what happens between the two cars:

from a 40-100 mph, the cars are DEAD NUTS EVEN. When I shift into 4th at 103 mph in the C5 Z06, it is all over and the RT walks away. From 100-140, the RT is about 3-3.5 cars ahead. This was the outcome EVERY time we raced. Even to 100, then the Viper walks away. This was a bone stock RT/10 vs. a well driven, 340 rwhp C5 Z06.

As far as a Gen III vs. C6 Z06, and I know you don't want to hear this, but you have to trust me when I tell you that a Viper would get beat pretty handily by a WELL DRIVEN C6 Z06 from a roll. I have seen the vids you are talking about and yes, from those vids, it looks like the Z and the Viper are a drivers race, which they are (along with everything else), but with two EQUAL drivers, from a 50-160 punch, the Viper would be 3-4 cars back. As soon as I find a stock Viper (that knows how to drive as well as I do) to race around here, I will get the video for you asap and show you the results. From a dig to 100 it is very close, past 100 it is over for the Viper. Remember, one car traps at 121-123, the other at 124-126, and that is just through the 1/4.

And yes i too have herd many times that it's dead nuts till 100 mph and then the viper walks away.

the M12 3.42 trannie and 31xx pounds of the C5Z06 will let it hang in their with the 33xx pounds and 3.07 geared Viper till 100. then power just takes over weight and gearing..

BTW...I really appreciate you as a real racer. I hope to get a camera mounted and follow your foot prints. you've earned my respect...

Killemall, thank you so much for the kind words. I know you and I had our minor arguements on here in regards to the Viper and Z06, but just keep in mind that a) we are both part of a community that share the same exact interests and b) the Viper and the Z06 are two of the baddest cars on the road today. I only hope to have both of them in my garage one day side by side.

My C5 Z06 was a 2001 with cat-back exhaust and a cai, and yes, the RT10 was red.. Here is a picture of it with my SRT-10 before I sold it.

It doesn't, but the gearing advantage of the C5 Z06 up to 100 helps tremendously, and hence, it can hang (kind of) with the Z06 up to 100.
