ok so im crusin around in my t/a today mods in sig and a blue 5.0 flys past me so i catch up. i look at him and he looks at me and we give the ok. we slow down to 40 i have a automatic so i dropped it down into 2nd 3 honks and were off were dead even till about 95 and when we let off at 120 he was a car ahead im like wtfffffffffffff. so we go a few more times this time we went from a 25 roll i was in 1st i take off and hit second and was already a car a half ahead we raced till like 80 and i had him by about a car. we raced a few more times and it seemed like he pulled me on the top end which is weird it was a 5.0 he said he had heads , cam , and some other ****. i just got new spark plugs cause my engines misfiring and havent put them in yet maybe i would have beat him everytime if it wasnet does it make a big diffrence???

 

i raced a guy in a 93-97 lt1 auto camaro once in my 5.0. he gave me a similar excuse as to why i hung with him. he said he had a blown head gasket.

 

H/C/I foxes can range from low 13's, to low 12's depending on part selection. i bet he had big heads and a roooooooough cam if hes pulling you up top.

 

and what does that have to do with his question? Troll...To the OP it could be part of the problem but dont understimate a 5.0 with a good set of heads/cams

 

im just saying. but it depends on the severity and how frequent the misfire occurs. judging that he was racing, the miss probably wasnt all too frequent and all that bad.
