I was coming home from work and decided to go on 295 to stretch the cars legs a little. At about 75 on the fast lane I see a black eclipse (not the new design) with an aftermarket muffler (fartcan) up ahead. I speed up a little and get closer, then he speeds up. I then see an opening on the right lane, switch lanes and pass him. As I do this he stays back so I figure he doesn't wanna play.

After about a minute or so, I notice him speeding up and see the big shinny intercooler in front with the blue coupling things on the sides. So, I slow down to about 65 and we're next to each other. I look over and signal to him and he nods.
I did the three beep thing and we both take off, I instantly put like 3 cars on him like in 5 seconds. I think he must of missed a shift or something (not sure) then we line up again at about 60 now. This time we both go and get the same result. He now stays back there doing the speed limit and I slow down and he catches up and give him the thumbs up and he does the same.

It was a clean black eclipse so I give him respect for that.

 

Nice Kill i was beat by a Turbo eclipse in my 95 Z28 once. They can be made respectfully fast. The ones i dont like are all looks no go!

 

Sounds like your car is pretty quick, the dsm guys with front mounts and not many body mods are usually low-13 capable or faster, good kill.

Ha ha, sometimes I really do. But no, thats not what I meant.

 

I have a decent size cam in there so I won't take anything away from the Eclipse. There's always someone faster out there.
