Default Got smoked by a Truck!!!!

We were out cruising this weekend and I ran into our infamous V10 F150 running around town. I stop and chat with him and he's running a 97 body style single cab 2 wheel drive truck. He dropped a triton v10 in it and then added a gt47 turbo on 10 psi untuned. At 3 psi he made 500+ and 600+ ft. lbs. I figured I'd get beaten like a red headed step child but I just wanted to see the race. That truck is quick. Dig races were out of the question, seeing how he didn't have his slicks on, however from our 2 40 and 50 rolls, it was sick. My bottle was empty but it wouldn't have made a difference. The frist race he spun pretty bad but come creeping by me after we were 3rd. But the 2nd race he caught some traction and all I can say is I need FI. He came by at about 70 like we were sitting still. I might have been able to slowly catch him after 100, but up until then it was hopeless. From 45 to 110 he had me by about 4 maybe 5 cars until his gain started inching away. I give the man props for the originality and the sick ride. He said he built it out of boredom.

Original project indeed. I can't believe he hasn't tuned it at all, that should help him out pretty good. Nice death.

Wow, I bet it is sick! With that much work and money invested, it better be! Nice death anyway. I would have done the same thing just to find out what it had.

Sounds like a badass ride for sure. Wonder what he runs the 1/4?

We got a bit of a video on a pda, the quality isn't very good, but it will give you an idea of how hard he pulls. I'll load it up later. He's definately put alot of work into that project and apparently it paid off.

Reminded me of my reaming I took a week ago by a Lightning.

We caught a light, but his side exhaust was at my window and I could clearly tell he had some work done. It sounded wicked aggressive.

We didn't get on it when the light turned green, but after we got rolling we both just kinda hit it. I stayed with him for about 2 seconds and then he just took off about 3-4 cars. I let off because I knew I wasn't going to catch him, and why risk anything.

I was pretty damn impressed. Gave him the thumbs up when he stopped to turn as I passed. Awesome truck.

i got raped in my '86 gt by an '81 chevy with a 406 in it... it was pretty damn embarrassing, till he told me the specs on the motor. no shame in losing to a 500+ hp truck. none at all.
