it was the only cobra with serious mods I have raced. Couple of CAI/Exhaust cobras. I put a healthy 2 cars on them with just motor.



NX kit with FJO programmer, 62 nitrous pill - 38 fuel pill.
Shouldn't be quite a 150 shot. The cobra driver might not have been the best in the world, I couldn't tell if he was slamming gears or not, my exhaust is too loud!

 

My 03 was stock when I bought it, and when I sold it. SPoke with the owner at the beginning of this year, and it was still stock.

Can we f-body owners please STOP worshiping terminators. In my mind, a vette is miles above any freakin mustang and it should be for any f-body owners on ls1tech.

 

Nobody is comparing them car vs. car... they're talking about straightline speed. The Corvette is a completely different car than the Mustang. It disgusts me when people compare them... the Corvette is head and shoulders above the F-body, and the F-body was in the same class as the Mustang, so of course it's much better as a whole. It doesn't matter what you own... you should be able to acknowledge and appreciate any car for what it is.

 

You are welcome to have an opinion, that's for sure. It don't mean peeps will agree with it. However, IMHO the C6Z06 is in my mind the best bang for the buck car out there and really is way above currently available Mustangs. The regular C6? In total package yes but on every point? No. Ford needs to put the Stang on a serious diet and we know that ain't gonna happen because the cars are aimed at two different markets. The Vette is a sportscar while the Stang is a ponycar and never shall the two meet. Enjoy what ya drive or wanna drive and get off people's nuts that may like something different.

 

Hopes and dreams of beating a stock Terminator? I raced one with exhaust in my lid/exhaust 2001 ss and he only got me by about a lil over a car at 120 mph.

If you want to beat stock 03 cobras, just get bolt-ons. When they start changin blowers is when you really have to have some serious mods to run with them.

Seriously man...the 03-04 cobra is a GREAT platform. It is darn near bullit proof. Yes, the vette is a great all around car (especially teh C6Z), but there does come a time when you have to worry about the internals as far as mods go.....and teh cobra isn't that far behind a vette on road courses. It is nothing more than members here giving respect where it is due.


Hell, you should what it is like to be a mach owner......most of the time, I feel like I get more respect here than anywhere else.

FYI, I get laid daily, i'm married. I only express feelings based on my personal experiences from races with stangs. Maybe one day you will see me post a death to a mustang .

 

I don't think anyone is worshipping Terminators, I think we are just giving them respect that the 03-04 deserve. But then again LSxx cars seem to not get that much respect on SVTperformance.com forums, What's up with that? Maybe I need to find some local ones with no respect and bring out me and my bro's 68 Camaro KB cobra killer.
I'll just tell them their running the car in the sig.

Nice kill. Beating a modded '04 Cobra is a tough job. I'm not trying to offend anyone by saying what a great car the Cobra is. But let's face it, the F-body disappeared. Had it lasted for another two years we would have a 400hp 3400lb Camaro that would be a match for the Cobra. But GM dropped the ball and here we are four years later and Mustang is the musclecar performance champ, mods or not. The LS1 is still a great engine, but it needs plenty of work to deal with a modded Cobra, to state the obvious.
