Mustang GT/CS
I pulled up to a stoplight next to this really pretty Mustang last night. My son leaned over and said it's a GT/CS. I really didn't have a clue what that was as we took off slow. But toward the end of 2nd gear (3500 RPM's) I heard him punch it & he started to pull away from me. He couldn't have got on it at a better place for me. I have real traction problems with my 3.91 rear end & gobbs of torque that I make. So at the end of (Crusing RPM's) 2nd gear is just perfect time to get on it. Well by the time I shifted to 3rd gear I already had a 1/2 car length on him and when 3rd hit, my car leaped 1-1/2 cars ahead of him. Well it was over from that point. I followed through with 4th gear and then slowed down to let him catch up. Come to find out it's a Mustang "GT California Special" Edition Mustang. They're very pretty, but for the extra $1800 he paid I really don't think it was worth it. He should have started on MODs instead.

I know i'm going to hear it but it's a drivers race between the two. I ran a 13.70 bone stock with the paper filter a-5 auto against an 06 gto 6speed . I have the sct programmer with bassani exhaust, 13.50's at 103 in hot weather.Still running the stock air box with 331 highway gears.

Too much power for it to be close; not a whole lot of driver's skill involved; only more $$$ in MOD's.

The 1/4 mile track on the Island of Oahu shut down. Maui and the Big Island of Hawaii have tracks and a new inter-Island ferry ststem opens up in August. Unless I run drag slicks, I'm sure I wouldn't do too well though. I've got serious traction problems in 1st & 2nd gears.
