Default 240 what?

"as i walk through the valley of the shadow of rice i shall fear no turbo, for torque is with me"

none truer, sr20det on 14lbs of boost, couldn't catch the allmotor ls1 with a few boltons:-)

Haha nice kill.

240's are not the average import.
I had a 91' 240SX SE 5 Speed with Super HICAS, and I loved it.
Little bastards are RWD Posse and only weigh 2200 pnds, and the KA24DE puts out 155fwhp/160 fwtq.

lol welll, for you sarcastic kids

it was about a 25 roll so i figured i'd break em in first and he'd take me off the line bad, but i somehow kept it under control when his friend yelled out the window "1 2 3" (what happened to honks, horn delete i guess) and he stayed up a little, and then built some boost and i quit pulling, then by the time i hit third torque was catching up and at 100 i had about 4lengths on him

great for 4 cyls :-)

While they aren't quite that light (more like ~2700lbs), you are right... they're a blast to drive, even if they are fairly slow

Haha, maybe his fuse is blown like mine. I need to stop being lazy and go get one, my horn right now consists of my head leaning out the window and yelling, "GOOOOOO".
Good kill.

stock sr20=205-280hp, in a 2700lb car a stock sr20 could easily walk an ls1 with very few mods(i.e. boost controller, exhaust). you gotta watch turbo cars, ive beat down many a ls1 in my semi-stock eclipse. but very nice kill anyways, he probably thought he was gonna kill you.lol

esp sr20s because you can turn the boost up so easily w/o needing to many other mods.. i had a 97 but couldnt put the sr20 in bc it would have been too much of a bitch to pass emissions with it in PA but now im regretting getting rid of it after all these ls1 swaps im seeing..

i ran my ca18det in my 240 with a black top t25@1 bar for a while with 3" turbo back and greddy fmic & piping and would take my friend's 02 m6 z28 by about 2 or 3 cars everytime. fun cars, i'm just done with mine i think.

Just don't talk about HP per cubic inch. Those little Nissan motors got us whipped there.

Full bolt on S13 SR20's only make around 250whp at 14~15psi and the stock T25 isn't good for much more past that. I would expect an LS1 with some decent bolt ons to be able to pull past one. Good run.

takes a pretty good eclipse to beat down "many a LS1"...just how stock is semi-stock? I ask because I beat down a couple (not many...2 exactly) of semi-stock eclipses...with my diesel truck (Banks Monster Exhaust, six-gun).

Nice kill, OP.

I helped one of my buddies swap in an SR20 into his 240. As of right now with a new intercooler kit, I/E, and ~14lbs that little sucker runs pretty damn fast. He's pretty even with bolt on f-bodies. He wins a few and loses a few. Though, it's a whole lot harder for him to keep up from a stop. It's a fun as hell car to drive. I'm helping him out with a Walbro 255 and some injectors so he can crank up the boost a little more (~18-20 i think). He should be much more into ls1 territory then. Good runs though.

Semi-stock usually consists of built motor, bigger turbo, C16 gas, full roll cage, no interior.

How about HP per camshaft? We got them whipped there, and it's an equally useless statistic.

Hp/L, HP/CI, both mean NOTHING. Power wins, doesn't matter how much you make per size of the motor. LS1s are far more efficient motors in terms of power/gas used than most imports are anyways, and that's the only real measure of efficiency, since it's fair regardless of how high you rev or how much boost you shove.
