Some SICK races..*Video*
Here's the first Race of the 2 cars. The second the c6 added headers and a dyno tune.

His car isnt a factory oddity..He ran a 12.3 at 117 mph with a cold air intake..A well driven bone stock C5Z06 should run 12.4-12.5 at 114-116 mph..So his 12.3 at 117 with the CAI in right on the money...The C5Z06 is just plain faster than the C6..
The C5 will dyno 445 on average compared to the c5Z06's 450 rwhp average=5 rwhp advantage to the c5Z06
The c5Z06 weighs 3140 pounds vrs the C6's 3260 pounds=120 pound advantage to the C5Z06
On top of this the c5Z06 has a more agressive tire/gear ratio
On any given day at the same strip with the same driver Id put my money on the C5z06 hitting a 12.4 at 116 and the C6 hitting a 12.7 at 113

The C5Zs usually get me by about a full car length....maybe a bit more.
Great runs though. As far at it being a drivers race? Na..I think both drivers drove the cars to the max. IMO the faster car won.( damn those head lights
) Those are the races that make your heart pound.

Definitely agree with you on these numbers (other than the rwhp dyno #s, which should be in the 345/350 range not 445/450
), but...4 cars on a top end run (where weight is less of a factor, and probably cancelled by the coupe's aero advantage) is a lot for this small a difference in the 1/4 numbers. I would have thought it would be 1-2 cars which is what I've seen in several local runs.C5Z is almost always the quicker car...if it's not, it's usually the driver.
Still great videos!
Awsome races, you guys are lucky to have a buddy that can race side by side, those are alot more fun than just running off & leaving someone. Although that is kinda fun too
, just gets old after a while.
