2JZ-GTE's are stupid-stout motors. It's probably the most overbuilt motor of all time, next to the RB26. They can make ~900-1000rwhp on mostly stock internals. A well set up 2jz car can definitely run with the big boys...even on the dragstrip

 

Dang, Those are serious motors. I'm going to have to learn more about them. Sounds like research time. This type of info may influence my next car purchase...

Hey whats up man...Im the guy with the red viper who was there when you dynoed 480 rwhp....i ended up hitting 447 SAE that day..As to the video I thought it was really well done and their is no doubt that he pulled that black C5z06 pretty hard. the C5Z06 started first and he still reeled him in and passed him up pretty good..

Now Id rather have any car in the video that he raced than the IS300 ( minus the mustang GT)...

But still..Those guys were racing and the car was freeaking fast

 

Just a little FYI guys. This video is old...and I know this guy got banned. BUT this is only one in a series of videos. That same IS300 in another video takes on a 550 horse 150 shot trans am on slicks from a dig on the street and gets totally annihilated by like 6 or 7 carlenghts.
