140 on public roads,maybe a bit excessive especially if he wasnt even keeping up lol

 

The older style base model 2 door hatch backs (like mine) are ~3000 with 185hp/195tq stock. A few bolt ons and you've got ~200hp/tq to the wheels.

The new style sedans are around a couple hundred pounds heavier.

 

some people need to stop being part poopers. If someone wants to go 140 or 180...Don't criticize! We all pay taxes for public roads, so if he wants to let him. I hate it when people act like it's soo dangerous. Try rally racing a beater ford tempo on dirt roads at speeds around 50mph with a cliff on the side of the road. That's way more dangerous. In fact...I almost went over the cliff. Scary as hell!!!!

The way I see it is this....If he doesn't damage anything or anybody...don't say anything, if he does, then go ahead and flame the guy for being a jackass.

I totally know where he's coming from though. I won't let anyone think they're the **** on the road unless they got something to back it up.

 

The point is....the potential of death on public roads at 140 is alot more if an accident occurs....there are OTHER people around. Your comments are simply childish and selfish. Thank you for showing us the maturity level of a teen.

BTW - if someone dies....going 140, there is alot more to be said than...'you're a jackass'. I dont' know your driving skills, he doesnt' know the other guys, so on and so forth.

140 on a public highway when it is empty is one thing. 140 on the street when there are other people around is another thing.

Thinking about other people before running that fast on the street > having fun.
