Default Almost got the new Challanger

I work over in Auburn Hills near the Chrysler tech center, so it isn't very uncommon to see Chrysler vehicles around with camo on them.

Well today coming back to work from lunch, I saw a silver Challenger with some camo on it going the other way. I quickly pulled a u turn in the middle of Opdyke and chased it down! So I finally catch up with him, and we pull up first to the light together. I was taking some pics on my camera phone and the guys inside didn't look too happy about it, but when I threw them a rev their expressions changed. The two guys in it both smiled, and I was like YEAH IM GONNA RACE THE CHALLENGER!! The light turned green, and we both rolled into the throttle and I was getting ready to really gun it but the Challenger let off!!! DAMN

Damn, they are moving fast. When are they supposed to be available for purchase?

And is it me, or does the side view mirror look large, goofy, and out of place?

I wonder what they are running under the hood of the test mule a 5.7, 6.1 or something different. Well actually can you answer this was it a V8 at all because they might just be testing it out with a V6.

The street car world from '08 on is going to be insane. 500WHP is the new 400WHP. Not long ago, 400WHP was the new 300WHP. Everyone has 300WHP now. Thats considered a good start, even for non-LSX vehicles. Its scary. I need another job.

Man your a lucky SOB I never run into anything with my mach 1 worth evening messing with and your running into concept cars. On the other hand when I drive my DD with its whopping 100hp I run into mustangs, vettes, F-bodies and just about anything with some power. I just have to think to myself "If only I had my other cay then they’d be in trouble"

I am sure dodge will have a good motor in there, but over the past few years, dodge fuel mileage has been crap. I realize that you don't buy that kind of car for the fuel mileage, but I hope they don't have a 22mpg highway rating. Heh my dad's 98 dakota with a 5.2 5 spd k&n with cat-back only gets 13 on a good day... Definately a good lookin car though.

There are a few big problems I see holding their cars (not trucks) back in the fuel economy department the 5.7 are actually fine can't really complain about a 4100 pound car with 340hp and 390tq getting 17-25. The SRT-8's would do much better if they had two things a manual trans option, look at the difference between a A4 & M6 LS2 GTO the A4 is rated 16-21 not far off of the STR8's 14-20 and probably would be pretty similar if the goat had an added 400lbs and 25 horses. The other is the 6.1 should have displacement on demand that also would make the highway mileage much better. The last thing is aerodynamics but then the styling of the cars would have to be totally changed so I really don't count that as an option.
