T/A vs 03/04 Cobra at lunch time. Who gets eaten?
Finally ran one of these...
On my way back to the base from lunch, I went on 295 to stretch the T/A's legs because I had a **** load of time left before I had to be back.
I am cruising on the right lane at 60MPH not looking for trouble when I see this yellow Cobra about to merge into the highway, so I slowdown and let it and a couple of cars merge in front of me. The 2 cars behind the Cobra switch to the left lane and the Cobra brake checks me a little (?) so I now switch lanes and speed up past him and end up in front of the pack of slow cars with a long stretch of emptiness in front, while he was stuck back there with traffic so I just continued cruising at around 70.
A few minutes pass and I see the sucker in my rear view coming fast, so I slow down and we're next to each other...
I roll down my passenger window and look over but his windows are tinted black and he doesn't roll his down. By this point we're at around 50MPH or so and I'm not sure what he wants to do, then all of the sudden when I'm putting my window up he horns three times and he's off before me. He has about 1 car in front until about 65-70MPH then I started gaining and passed him slowly. At about 110 I had about 2 1/2 cars on him and shut down.
We only did this once because I had to get back. I got off the next exit, he gave me thumbs up as I pulled out.
It was difficult to hear his exhaust over mine (I always run my cut-out half way open). I don't know much about Cobras other than what I read here. I assume this wasn't one of those 600RWHP monsters I often read about. But he was quick none the less. Maybe some of the Cobra owners here can shine some light into my opponent's possible modifications.
Thanks for reading.

You have plenty of mods to take out a Cobra. He probably didin't have more than intake and exhaust done. Good kill!
You have any power numbers with your mods? I'm guessing around 480ish?...

I would think the cobra had at least a few mods. When I was stalled and bolt-ons I could pull a car on them. Once you add a cam your at a whole nother level. These a4s respond very well to being stalled & cammed. I would say your car should be in the 11s so it's going to take a nicely modified cobra to stay with you. I can't wait to run my next cobra, odds are I'm going to embaris it. Nice kill by the way.
