last night heading home from the movies a friend called saying he had someone that he wanted so i was like sure i don't get to race to many people so my not. So we went out to a back road and went for it. he was pushing 7 psi and complete with all other bolt ons and so i blew the horn we both spin but i got a good start and he never caught up. then on the way back to where we were parked on the side of the road he was like lets go from a roll so we go from 30 blew the horn and jump a car on me because mine a a4 and that the way it stayed till i shut down at bout 80 or 90. so 1 win 1 lose not to bad but can't wait to get my headers and tune then we'll go for it again

 

7PSI? IDK how anyone in the import world can even run that low

What engine was it? Stock ka24 with a turbo (would possibly explain only running 7 psi) or a sr20, or ca18.

Interesting. Just knowing he was at 7 psi makes it very difficult to judge his approximate HP.

 

good races. i'm not sure about the motor either tho. i know of 240 around here with an sr20 that dynoed closed to 250hp and i think he was pushing about 14psi, he's running 8.4s in the 1/8th.

 

I would think its a turboed Ka motor. The kits for that probably come with low boost wastegate actuators for use in an previously NA application.

250WHP at 14PSI sounds right for a well done SR20 on a stockish sized turbo.

 

yea i didn't ask him how much hp he was pushing but i asked him his track time and he said it was 13.6
