lol, come on yall, these cars are badass, but they aren't gonna completely smoke everything out there. my car stock was 443 rwhp, so you have a shot at a bone stock Z06 if you're spraying. now, h/c, boltons, i'm gonna probably be around 580 rwhp, so you might need a little more than spray to hang. good luck, should be fun regardless.

Ok, So what exactly are the specs on these things. Apparently they're equivalent to a jet or some ****.

 

C6 Z06's are known for killing cars with more horsepower, hell, Fadi beat allngn_C5 (not sure on the screen name) - Fadi in a stock Z06 and allngn_C5 in his bad *** C5 FRC with more horespower.

 

specs for my car:
stock : 443/42x
CAI, tune : 475/442
+headers, catback : 490/471
+h/c, clutch : i hope 575 ish

 

Race him and tape it. It'll make for a good video. From experience I raced my friends stock 98 firebird from 50-150. not sure how many cars it was, maybe 50. He was way back and im not even as fast as a new Z.

I wouldnt care 1 way or the other its a $75,000 car vs a $35,000 car it should kill u just think if u put $40,000 in mods how bad u would kill him.even though the new Vet look good as hell and a vert ss doesnt have that good of a look.

 

My wife's car had an impossibly hard time with C6 Z06 while spraying the old 100 shot with 532rwhp from a roll... From a dig it was a little better. Even now with a 250hp solenoid and jetted for closer to a true 150 rwhp shot (180 crank shot) she still has some issues from a roll...

 

My SS with right at 500 N/A RWHP took one down pretty easily.

 

my 450 rwhp viper stayed 1.5 cars behind from 50-140 mph...there fast but not that fast

 

That sounds right, on my pump set up (567rwhp), I ran my neighbors C6 Z06 3 times, from my 2nd, 3rd & 4th up to 150mph.

My 2nd gear - me ahead 3 car lengths
My 3rd gear - me ahead 7 car lengths
My 4th to 150 mph - me ahead couple of bus lengths

My neighbor now wants to go from a dig but I know I'll a get my *** handed to me unless I throw on some drag radials.

There is always someone faster, but the Z06 straight from the factory is damn hard to beat. Throw in h/c/i and watch out, there won't be much out there that can touch it. GM did one hell of a job on it and I can't wait for the Z07. From what I read so far, it should be a world beater, so I can only give kudos for such a remarkable vehicle!

Raced against one that my buddy got, it wasnt pretty. He started about 3 or 4 cars behind me from a 60-ish roll and I hit it as soon as I saw that he hit the gas. It looks like i'm standing still.

Man I say race him... just go for it. But, after you are done racing tell him you guys should switch cars. You see he drives so well that you want to see how good your car could really keep up with the c6. After your done just say nope man your right, your car is really that fast, thanks for kicking my ***, and letting me kick yours.

 

Who cares, just race him for fun. Of course you are going to lose. There isn't anything under 150K that can touch the Z06, so don't feel bad. Hell, I absolutley stomped on a lightly modded Gen III Viper the other day (3.55 gears and high flow cats) with my Z06 and all I have as a 'go fast' mod is a filter. It was still fun and that is all that matters.

Got in a fight with a wall and the wall won LOL..Insurance gave me 41K for the totalled 1999 rt10...

Have a 2003 being shipped here to hawaii with an arrow rebuild and roller rockers and KN filters...Should be around 550 HP crank..Ill dyno when it arrives.

BTW..arrow rebuild was done to the first batch of 2003's. The early SRT10's had some engine issues and were recalled. The engines were sent to arrow for complete rebuilds at Dodges expense. In order to guarantee that the new 2003 Viper owners got there full 500 HP that they paid for.Arrow built the engines a lil stronger to make sure that they had a minimum of 500 crank HP..

These arrow rebuild "stock" early 2003 SRT10's were engine dynoed to be 540-560 crank HP... And typically dyno in the 460-470 rwhp range vs the rest of the 03-06 SRT10's that didnt have a recall and dyno 440-450 rwhp.
