Hopefully you've run your car hundreds of times and know what it will run in the 1/4 mile. Depending on the driver a bone stock Z06, even one with a 30 day tags, will stop the clocks from around 11:7 to 12:2. And for you detailed guys, I don't think the color of the Z06 makes a difference.

Thats what people dont factor in. The LS7 is cool and all, but its not all that amazing in terms of outright power. Mid-400s WHP is not all that amazing in an LSX 427. But since the car makes it for such a long band up top, it kills people on the shift points. Hot rodded 327s used to do the same thing. Thats the real cool thing about the LS7, not the power.
I really think people over estimate the C6Z these days. To hear people talk it will murder anything with less than 600HP. Thats just not the case. Align C5 did pretty well with his H/C 346 high 400s WHP C5 all the way, even when his gearing was a disadvantage up top. I think a well built 402 NA will be enough for a F-Bod to take one down pretty surely.
They make 450rwhp(or so) STOCK, are LIGHT, have wonderful gearing, have a very smooth and high revving powerband, good aerodynamics, and are half the price of Ford GT's and Vipers.

The point is the car has the power, gearing, aerodynamics, and lightweight that is very well put together. I think it's MORE annoying when people talk down the C6 Z06. It is an amazing Chevy.
Of course their are faster modified cars, but how many are a lot faster completely stock?

See this is how it starts....SOOO MUCH MISINFO and HYPE..
the C6Z06 has never trapped anywere near 134 mph..
It was 10.8 at 129 mph in the best conditions anyone could ever hope for..
The record bone stock is 11.2 at 127 mph..
These cars max out at 126-127 mph and usually are 123-125 mph...
It's not rocket science. If you have a car that runs mid 120'sor higher you can beat a C6Z06...
134 mph is straight up SaleenTT mph man...
Now with all that taken into consideration....The fact that just about anyone can jump in one and go to just about any track and clip off an 11.9 at 124 mph is down right impressive

1) Its not half the price of a Viper. I see them used in auto trader in PHX for nearly the same price as Vipers. Find me a guy getting his C6Z for less than 70K. And if C6Zs were ultra-limited production you would probably see them running in the mid 100s like the GT.
2) I wonder what an Enzo would do setup for drag with DRs? Or a Veyron? Or a Zonda S or an Edonis or an EB110 or an S7 or.....
So my point is, I can over estimate is this way: "I dont care if your car makes 550WHP to 7K, the C6Z is amazing and your going to loose."

Yeah, its a fricken fast car. There are plenty of other fast cars. I guarantee you if you put other cars with similar power to weights on a track like Atco on a negative DA night with a very very expirienced driver on DRs you will get those kinds of numbers.
It is an incredible car. But lately I see people who basicly worship it like god. Its not. Its a great car. Thats all. Its basicly a car that comes stock with all the know-how that the Chevy community has generated over the last 40 years. People have been making cars that do what the C6Z does for years. C5Rs come to mind. And there are certanly Vettes that will hand a stock C6Z its ***. Yeah, they are modded. So? That does not disqualify you at the end of the race.
Basicly, the C6Z is about the best supercar Value relative to its competitors in a long long time. No more, no less. But that does not mean it is some god machine that will trounce anything with less than 600WHP. Its does not mean it will outlap any thing on the 'ring. Its not the fastest car ever. People act like it is. They act like their LS1s and 2s simply cant touch one, cant even begin to compete. And thats BS. People need t have more faith in the community of shops/teams that have been doing this since there was a Vette, without whom the C6Z would never have been built anyway.
....440-450 rwhp....3190 pounds.....34 drag....193-195 mph top speed ( as tested in mags, not GM's 198 mph BS)....
