Default Is this a 'ricer flybye'?

I was at the local car spot in my friends 02 Z28 and saw a custom looking mazda 3 rollin along. I said "hey sounds like he has a turbo, see if he wants a piece". So my friend rolls up next to him ,we have lots of room, but he dosnt race. Then when my friend is like **** it and there are tons of cars up ahead, the mazda guns it and swerves threw the cars up ahead and gets the **** outa dodge. WTF is that!!! we coulda raced like 5 times before that, but he goes when there are like 50 cars up ahead and its dangerous as ****.

no a flybye is after putting city blocks on one, you shut down to normal speeds and have lunch, they fly by you at mach4

Then they post on their own forums that the LS1 got them off the line but they passed them at about 90 mph.

Well, in order for it to be a ricer flyby they'd have to be doing about 65 and you've come down to the speed limit of 55. I really doubt those shitbricks can do 90.

That's why when I get out ahead..I slow down convincingly..So they KNOW I let out of it...
But sometimes what's best is the FLY BY denial move..where you get back in it & accellerate back up to whatever speed they're going..Traffic permitting of course.
..Even better is to hop at 'em at 100+..When someone's ALL in it & you just pace them..Pointing & laughing..
I pissed one guy off soo bad doing that.
Nothing say "you're my bitch" like bobbing the nose up & down while they're still trying.

One time I was messing with a crappy like '90 civic sedan, dropped with a huge muffler. I would speed up get over slow down get over and ultimately drive circles around this guy on the highway. (no traffic)

Yup. It's called the "ricer weave" or "ricer whip". It's standard operating procedure for all of the too many importfanboyzz around here. As has been stated, they then go back to their rice-a-jabronie sites and claim a win against an LSx or domestic V-8.

One can only hope that a cop sees them and pulls their license permanently, or crushes their "pride and joy".

I think some of the flyby mentality comes from import owners thinking our old school, pushrod V8 engines have no top end, and their VTEC gives them so much top end that they'll easily start to pull on us by 120 or so. So when we stop after putting buses on them by 90 because we feel bad, the race for them has only begun because they think they'll start pulling like mad at higher speeds. Sad, but whatever helps them to sleep at night. It's just too bad that I'm out in my garage actually making my car faster while they sleep

I don't support unlawful siezure of personal property for a traffic violation..It could easily be applied to anyone here..I assume that if you are in this forum you are, or have it past engaged in a "speed contest"..& therefor subject to having your car crushed as well...
Now having said that....The "ricer flyby" is NOT limited to someone driving an Intregra..It's part of a "ricer" mentality that is more likly a delusional young male 17-24 & what ever he chooses to drive..Be it a Del sol, a loud *** pick up truck,a 5.0 Mustang, or yes even an F-body..
I've been on the receiving end of a flyby from all of those..The only thing they all have in common was the jilted retard dipshit behind the wheel.

A "speed contest" on an empty road is one thing, the O.P. was talking about the import f***tards dangerously weaving in and out of heavy traffic (as a lot/most of them tend to do) to get their "win" on the big, bad domestic V-8.
So it's OK by you when they clip a minivan full of kids and start a chain reaction pile-up resulting in much death and injury??!!
YOU may have that much faith and trust in these punks' "mad skillzz" and ability, but I DO NOT.

I don't know where you got that from.
You totally didn't get the point I was making....
I was saying this behavior isn't limited to drivers of "Sport Compacts"..
But demographically speaking, more people inclined to do flybys drive imports.
But a dipshit is a dipshit no matter what they drive.

I TOTALLY agree! But my point was that the O.P. claimed they were cutting and weaving in and out of heavy traffic "for the win". <-- Maybe you've witnessed otherwise, but I've ONLY seen ricers/imports do this s***!
