Nah, maybe he has a modded car himself. LOL. It's alot of police officers that like to see a good run as long as it's not too crazy. Great run and you guys have a rabbits foot hanging from your rearview mirror. LOL

a properly setup twinscrew cobra WILL hang with a sprayed c5 z06. You have to keep in mind, the cobra owner was running 15psi on a twinscrew. Your actually UNDERSPINNING the blower with that little boost on a twin. His car will run at the track, what a upper lower ported eaton cobra will run. If people say bs, take it to the track, and come back with a slip. that 570 or whatever was PEAK power. Its like installing a T88 turbo on your mustang and running 8psi. The car will not be fast, its not being used to its efficient range.
a 15psi twinscrew is equivalent to a ported EATON with a upper lower pulley. 15 psi is a waste. its a 2.3 liter supercharger. People say oh i beat my friends ported eaton cobra by 3 cars with my low boosted twinscrew. No, the eaton guy can't drive thats why.
The peak numbers on a dyno might show a higher hp than a ported eaton, but that doesn't mean anything. everyone is worried about PEAK power. I have yet to see a twinscrew at 15lbs run a 10 in the 1/4.
These blowers are ment to run at 18-21++lbs of boost. 19lb twinscrew cobra is a 10.70 car. a 15lb twinscrew cobra is a 11.4 car or alittle less.
a upper lower ported eaton cobra is a 10.90-11.2, 11.3 depending on driver.
see where im getting at? Im not ******* the cobra owner, its just he is not running that blower to its efficient levels. that cobra needs to be pullied for 19lbs then its a different story.
People hate blowing up motors right. low boosted twinscrew cars, like 15psi is retardly SAFE. very very very very safe combo. so if people do not want to blow up motors, but run a 10 or even a 11.0, they why wont more people run low boost instead of 19lbs or more? because it won't happen, unless the car is stripped down, with a solid axle and raced out.
So the way I look at it, those vettes ran basically a upper lower ported eaton. Just because it says whipple, and you say well, vettes are faster, take a look at his combo or your combo that you had on the cobra.
so if a 10.70 full weight 2003 2004 cobra trapping 130+mph is slow, then strap a rocket in the back of a car.
I respect the vettes, I was going to buy one actually. a c6. But I just dont like to see false info thrown around you know?

Another thing to. I saw a post about a cobra with spray, and didnt do that well. hmm.
sometimes instead of going twinscrew, a ported eaton with spray will run with any twin, unless its a 2.8kb with high boost.
a upper/lower ported eaton with a 100 shot is a 10.30ish 132+mph car.

full weight cobra with a 60 shot my friend john

So how much power are you putting to the ground in the C5? I figured my friend with the whippled 5.0 stroker would show me the way even on a H/C C5 on the spray....this gives me hope!

Great run guys!!! Would love to have any one of those cars, just so I could talk about getting to that speed that quick. Guess the cop figured that he scared you guys enough by being there. I would of had to fart out my seat, I would of puckered up so bad.

stangfreak..Im not going to sit here and argue with you. Ive had a Whipple and KB and Ive ran both at high boost, but what im getting at is a Vette at less hp will walk a KB or Whipple Cobra (for obvious reasons) That debate will go on forever, its not false info. I love Cobra's but as mentioned a Vette with the right mods can be a tough car to beat

Yeah, weight sucks. As more Vettes go H/C more and more Cobras go down. Back in '03/'04 when the C5s were still out and not as many were H/C it seemed like Cobras waxed that *** almost every time. Now as Vette owners realize they have to have H/C to compete with us you see where the weight differences come in. If only weight reduction were easy...
