I was on my way to some races last nite when I see a nice looking ls1 TA just cruising, I get up beside him and glance over at his car. He immediately drops a gear and hammers it executing a perfect flyby, so i get beside him again and he does the same thing and Im like wtf? Next time im ready in 2nd gear doing about 50 and i signal for him to do 3 honks and he does but we both hesitate and he looks at me as if he is telling me to get the jump and about that time we both hit it. I immediately put a car on him and we shut down at about 100. We stop and talked for a few minutes where he proceded to tell me he was making 650hp w/no nitrous and if we would of went faster he would have blew by me because he beats liter bikes, busas, vipers, Z06s, etc., etc. I dont know if it is anyone on here but if it is post up. BTW it was a black non-ram air with a nasty cam , 5.3l heads, and full bolt-ons or so he said, it definetely had a cam and bolt-ons but I dont know if he had heads, oh it was a m6 too. Sry for the long story but I just thought it was funny that my 450hp 3rd gen beat a 650hp ls1.

Noway he could have that much power N/A unless it was a stroked motor and then I would still doubt it. He was probably a cam only car making about 380 or so.

I didnt think that was a POSSIBLE hp number for a NA 347. But then again, I might be full of it. Maybe on spray. MAYBE. Gotta love those inflated HP numbers. Can we say that the driver MAY be compensating for something?

I dont know of any stockish cube LSXs making that NA in a anything but an all out drag setup or circle track car.

500WHP is quite a feat in an H/C 346, and I guarantee you you wont hit that NA with some warmed over 5.3 heads. Some 205s or ETP 215s? Sure. but not some 5.3s.

Yeah the guy was a tool and he actually gave me his number(not in a gay way) like I would want to hang out with him. lol. Judging from the other ls1s ive beat he was prolly making 400 at the least and 450 at the most.

That guy is no where near 650hp..I will have close to 625 at the Flywheel fully Tuned and running with the Exhaust setup that I want..and I have alot better **** in my Engine than he does...and almost another Liter..
