Hey guys!! I just made my account and I figured what better way to say hello then with a kill/death story..

A little about me. My name is Nicholas Johnson and I�m currently stationed at Davis Monthan Air Force base in Tucson Arizona. I have a 2007 C6 Corvette and my wife has a 2003 Cobra. Both the cars are pretty much full bolt-on cars with a tune, nothing to spectacular but still a lot of fun.

Last night on my way home from work at about midnight I ran across a C5 Corvette that sounded pretty nasty. He through me a few revs as I was leaving the gas station so I followed him off the base. I stayed behind him until we got out on a nice open 4 lane road then I pulled up beside him. We both drop to 3rd gear and I start the honk off. He obviously had quit a few more horses than I did because he pulled pretty hard; probably about 3 cars by the time we shut down at 130. We went again from a 1st gear roll and I did quit a bit better that time, He probably got me by 1 � cars. About 5 miles up the road the was a gas station that he pulled into so I followed. I talked to him a little bit and he had H/C/I with full exhaust and a 75 shot. He said he was running on a pretty crappy tune. Considering his mods I don�t think I did all that bad.

 

Good story man, you are right, cant win em all.


btw: Pics of your wifes and your car?

 

1.5 cars from a dig to 130? I doubt he squeezed that run unless he just didn't have traction. Nice run reguardless though sounds like you held tight.

I'm actually at work now and I don't have any pictures. When I get home I'll post some up though.

The corvette is atomic orange and the cobra is black. Both look stock but the vette is lowered a little bit.

I have some pretty good videos of my wife and I racing too, I'll post those up when I get home.

 

I dont think he hit the juice either. He said he was on a crappy tune and I believe him. I think with a nice tune he would put a bigger *** kickin on me.

 

Still an awesome run bottle or not.

My bad guys. I have not had time to post the pictures and vidoes yet. Its been a crazy week at work. I'll try to get them up this weekend.

I know if I keep posting this crap you guys are going to boot me off the forums but here is alother death story for ya that happeneed last night.lol

On my way home from work last night I ran a pack of 5 600CC GSX-Rs. We ran from about 55 all the way up to 140. The 2 bikes that had exhaust and power commanders got me by about 1 car and the stockers were on my back bumper. The guys were super cool when I talked to the at the stop light. They wanted me to go get the cobra and meet them at the local "drag spot" I was pretty tired and was ready for a few beers so I had to decline the offer. I'm sure my wife will beat up on them if she sees them on the street though.lol

BTW, you and your wife have two badass cars.

 

Nice cars indeed I have an '06 Sunset Orange C6 (a little darker than yours) and my wife has an '04 silver Cobra....if you're near Tucson AZ we should meet up and snap a few pictures.

Another honorable death BTW...to even hang with a street bike is an accomplishment.

Where do you work on the base? I'm down with the EC-130s doing secret squirl stuff.
