Default 9 Second Mustang

Minding my own business, hoping my 12 hour day on the car lot passes quickly, in rolls a late model Mustang, rumble rumble rumble!

Three guys exit and head for the show room. Previous experience tells me it's a bad sign when three people get out of any car during the day. But what the hell it's a new week I am ready to play the game.

"Welcome to -------- Chevrolet, my name is --- and you are?" Bud, what can you tell you about that new Camaro. "It's coming." strike one. Do you have them yet? What engine do they get? Do you think they will be the Mustang? strike two. Why would any *** clown walk into to Chevrolet dealer and ask such a stupid question?

"Well Bud, I hope it's strong." Do you think it will run 9's like my Mustang? "Yes, but it might not be finished with the 1/4 mile yet. So Bud, you're telling me your Mustang run 9's in the 1/4?" Yep. "So Bud, what do you run EZ Street?" Nope I run at the strip. "NMRA" Nope, never heard of that. "OK, would you mind showing me your car." Sure. Raising the hood I see headers an a intake. The inside of the car is trashed. "9's as I again make eye contact."

Boys do you have a minute? I need to show you something. Sure. As we walk into my work area I point to a picture of a Camaro I have hanging on the wall over my desk. Is that dog a Pit Bull? Ignoring that question I open the PC to LS1Tech Drag Racing section about the Ohio Boys and sometimes a girl. I ask all three to watch. As the vidio plays nothing is said. On the second trip through the vidio I think they see the posted et. I told them I like all 9 second cars but I don't think they have one. I said I would be happy to take your name and phone # and call you when we receive official information. No that's ok - thanks! Back to bed

All mustangs can run 9s with intake and exhaust. you should have got a new vette and ran him and then told him a stock vette only runs 12s after you waxed his ***.

Some people are just stupid. That's fine and all, but it just sucks they're allowed to germinate the population.

That 9 sec stang would've put buslengths on a slow-*** vette.

WOW! I can't stand Jakes Dad, but why all the hate for car salesmen? I've been in the car business since 2001, and I can assure you I am not an asshat...nor do I make retarded comments in every single post.

It's not like he's the ******* porter.

So, I take it the mustang boys were straight crack heads? Cause sounds like they weren't too bright.

I'll qualify who I am and who you are by making a few simple statements.

My first year in the car business was 1968 .

My first full year returning to the car business was 2001 like you . In that year I earned my GM ring with the Chevrolet emblem on it. Question #1 did you? The following two years GM furnished a diamond for my ring. Question #2 did you? In 2004 and 5 I worked at a Mazda Speed dealer, became a Mazda Master, bought a Mazda. In 2006 I changed to Nissan selling NISMO performance cars. I was encouraged to return to a Chevrolet dealer. I choose used cars because the thrill of selling new cars was gone. I felt Chevrolet was missing the target.

I would truly like to thank you and all the other 30K or so GM sales associates I have had the pleasure to sell with, or against

What I do today isn't work. I don't know you can't tell if I would like you or not. Truth is, many folks like you make me look good - thanks

p.s. I never asked you to like me. If you don't like what I say you still have several ways to go. if you want. I'll be around..

Personally, I think that was a pretty good post.

However, it doesn't belong in the street racing section.

What's wrong with being a car salesman? You guys bought your
cars from someone right?
