Well I was on my way home from work when I spotted a pretty good-looking 3rd gen Camaro with his t-tops off, I also had mine off. So I maneuver through traffic to catch up with him, and do so at a stop light. I throw a small rev, he returns the favor with a mean mug.

So we both take off and I hear his carb'd piece of **** go WOT. So I go WOT as well and leave him so fast it wasn't even funny, hit 2nd and he was already about 3 cars back, so I decide embarrass him even further and run it all the way to 3rd.

We pull up to the next stop light, I look over and nod, he looks away. Wow, what a retard, it's all in good fun. So I throw him a hell of a rev, and proceed to launch him off the line at the stop light and beat him again, then turn off and go on my way home.

I love 3rd gens, they are just slow as ****...thats why I'm ripping out my 305 and putting in a boosted 383...can anyone say 25psi?

 

With the 3rd gen averaging at around 3300lbs...
3rd gen + LS1 = Bye bye 4th gen
Hard to find a decent looking one these days though... Let alone a fast one..

All in all good kill though.

lol... too bad we're too far away, it would be a fun race. what intake are you running? i see heads/cam/intake in your sig, but then i see ported plenum that makes me think you still have the TPI on there..?

 

Yeah its sad that most of the 3rd gens on the road are just barley running. They are some nice looking cars when done right... but with out some major work they are pretty slow... i know, i upgraded hehe.

 

no, i know.... i had to do the major work.. LOL.

just think, all you have to do is replace every piece of the drivetrain and suspension, then brace the remaining chassis, and its finally respectable. LOL.


when you get down to it, i think i only own a thirdgen because i like how they look.



i think that makes me a domestic ricer..... its like a import ricer, but mullets, are involved... oh, and instead of debating between wings and fart cans, we debate busch VS keystone... lol.

 

Once I finish my 3rd gen we can all race.

 

3rdgen Fbody + 3rdgen SBC... now we just need a 3^3 racing series.
