lets just get right to the point. im pulling up to a 3 lane light and notice a C5 in the left turning lane. I was in the mood to play so i decide to get behind him and notice aftermarket exhaust tips! , the light turns green and we turn onto a 2 lane road i creep up next to him to see whos behind the wheel and lucky me its someone young! early to mid 20s would be a good geuss. I Also notice his ugly "DUBS"....yes 20" chrome wheels, they werent bad looking wheels, just bad looking wheels on a vette...anyways im in second the road is kind an S shape so im not planning on goin for here, but i do give a little blip of the throttle as i slowly pass him, next thing i know i here a honk so i slow down to here what he has to say....he points to the next light which just turned green and says lets line up! so we coast towards this light SUPER slow hoping for it turns red, well it dosnt. so we are stoped at a green light at a decently busy intercection, he looks over and we are both kind of paused, cars are now starting to slow behind us, i was getting kind of nervous being parked at a green light in this busy intersection. so i look over and just wave to him to go.... basically giving him the jump.... i dont know what i was thinking. right when i see him take off i do as quickly as possible i do a quick dump of the clutch wich results in a slight bog!!! my car quickly picks up the pace and im only about 2 feet or so behind his rear bumper (His exsuast didnt sound bad @ WOT lol), by the time i shift into second ive Crept up to his rear tire and that the way it stayed into 3rd, we quickly let off due to cars in front of us. the race was probably just a little more then an 1/8 of a mile run, we pull up to eachother, i give him a thumbs up and he has a smile on his face, gives me a shrug and says hey man its a vette! lol i can tell he bought the car for the looks and probably dosnt know much about it, so i played along and say yea they are fast, he replys with you gave me a little scare though! come to find out its an auto. i didnt ask him about mods the light soon turned green but im sure he just had a cat back, sounded like magnaflow to me! lol basically it was a drivers race that i lost...but whatever ya win some ya lose some.....sorry for the noval

 

Good death, maybe with a good launch you could have took him. But without those stupid 20s he could probably of took you down, cus you know man "its a vette". lol. Nice story, as long as the grammar is good long stories are cool with me, better than those "raced vette, he jumped and won by half car. thanks guys" stories that some people post.

 

i might have been able to hold him off through the 1/4, but once we head upwards from 100mph he would have crept right back up on me..... stupid brick shaped car!

 

Not bad for a 281 tipping the scales at 3550 w/o driver.
