2 deaths to a cobra

2 deaths to a cobra Ran a maroon cobra last weekend. We rolled out to the boon docks in greenwood and there is a nice little stretch of road so we were out there watching some run go down. One was BAD *** a twin turbo C6 against a drag Grand National and the vette got him pretty good too 
. But anyways I am letting my car cool from previous runs when this guy comes over and asks what I have done (full exhaust, Lid) on my 6 spd 2002 WS6 and he tells me he has a cobra with exhaust, intake, and a pulley but can't remember what else. Says he wants to run it from a roll which I was down with since the street tires and stock clutch/rear. We line up at about 30 mph and punch it. I instantly take a about 1.5 fenders and we hold like that for a few moments and he start taking it back and continues to pull a little faster till he gets a car ahead of me and we shut down (can't remember the speed). Ran them again and almost the exact same result. I was impressed the the WS6 keeping up that well I was expecting a beating from the cobra. All in all the guy was cool as **** as was his car and we got some good runs in much respect to all who were there good bunch of guys.

Nope no spinning on either car. What was strange was he wasn't really pulling that hard when he was passing me, hell half the people watching thought I had him when we passed them. I have witnesses on this board so I could get them to chime in here if you doubt it. He said he didn't want to go from a dig bc he had street tires too and didn't want to wheel hopp his IRS to death. My clutch was being a bitch too need to do that drill mod and see what that does.
