gsrhunter, I have read a lot of things you post and the sarcastic point you were trying to make was obviously missed. Just apologize and move on, stop defending it. When you post certain things they can be interpereted a million ways. So no matter what you say or how you say it you will always find someones toes that got stepped on. The point is try to reach the majority and don't worry about the minority opinion. Example this is an LS1 board, and we all post kills. You driving a hopped up import isn't going to score many points here, also boasting (even in sarcasm) about your 600,000 house being the poor side of town implies that you have the money to live very close to the very wealthy, further letting everyone know how wealthy you are. I just think your post was innocently conceived, but went bad from there.

I myself make 50 grand base a year as a Police officer. I live in a 3 bedroom brick bungalow with a 2 car detached garage. Its worth about 155,000 if I sold. I work my *** off pulling OT and working on my days off. Last year I only had about 7 days off. Coincedentally I grossed nearly 118,000 so I was well compensated for all the hours. What I was trying to say is that the MAJORITY of us make enough money to have a decent home, a decent lifestyle and we drive corvettes, camaros, fire birds etc modified/unmodified. We belong here, you are welcome but bragging about your 600,000 home near the multimillion dollar home neighborhood and your non ls1 car is going to make you unwelcome. BTW I daily drive a 1993 Gran Prix with nearly 213,000 miles. Done all the maintainence myself (oil chg's, tune ups etc) and that is why I am able to afford the Corvette and the mods. Overtime helped a lot too.

But anyways not trying to crucifix you bro. I enjoy reading about your kills, they are entertaining, you have a very powerful Integra, and several other desirable vehicles. You sound like you got it made. You even mentioned you have a 4 yr old son. You got it all. Bottom line just stick to the kills information, the other stuff doesn't need to be in your post.

Now do me a favor, go line up with a c6 zo6 and try to get it on video. Most people wouldn't like seeing it, but I enjoy watching the KING (c6zo6) get beat once in awhile. In case you missed it, I finally got a kill on one. Very exhilerating. Stay cool bro and looking forward to your next post.

Just for the record, 2 of my 8 cars are faster than yours and my house costs more... who gives a ****? It doesn't make me a better person than anyone else, just very fortunate and somewhat lucky. I drive a 2000 Toyota Corolla to work to save gas.

Wow!!! I am completely dumbfounded!!! I never expected this from termi of all people!!! Just like most of the people who missinterpret my posts... In my Original Post... I automatically perceived that guys actions as arrogance and like he was looking down upon me simply because of my own jeolousy. He may have been just embarrassed he lost to an Integra.... but that is the reason why I said the things I said...... in sarcasm.

Termi in your post you stated the things you have.... so I'm wondering why you interpreted my sarcasm as arrogance. If I were a guy who along with the other things I have also had a 1000hp F-Body. I normally wouldn't feel the need to apologize for someone else's interpretations.... but in here I realize that I'm choosing to play in the lions den... and the lions don't necessarily want to be friendly. I never said I hate you cus you drive an import, I dont mind fast imports. I used to drive a dsm car and I loved it, except for the fact it was always falling apart. I dont like you cus of your attitude, you act like your car is the fastest thing around and get mad when anybody asks you why you built it. My car is probably about even with your car in trap speeds and I never say my car is fast or talk **** about how I beat this or that car. I like sleepers and I think a car looking like yours and being that fast is cool, but you have to admit that an integra is a shitty platform to build a performance car upon or you will never be accepted on this forum. If I was in your area I would love to come hang with you cus there aint **** for fast imports around here, humble up a little and we will be cool.

I did a search on myself and read a lot of my posts. Took nukes advice for fun!!! I noticed I kinda have an alpha dog mentality. When speaking to people like you... I speak as equals. When speaking to someone like termi... I bow down a little. When speaking to someone with a slow car or that I feel superior to for whatever reason... I have this subtle disdain like " You shouldn't even be speaking to me" LOL and it comes out in my writing. I guess thats where the perceived arrogance comes from. Oh well... I like myself and I refuse to change for the sake of people on the net who perceive me a certain way! Guess I'll just have to keep my flamesuit close by! LOL

As for races with C6 Z06's I've had a few... even got one on vid. I knew damn well I would get flamed out of existance so I didn't even think about posting it. I had a race with a 550whp T/A that I beat...badly.... but once again I'm not stupid enough to post those kills here. I'll stick to simply being called arrogant for beating filthy rich guys in their M5's!!! LOL

 

Wow gsrhunter, a little bit of contradicting going on there huh? In one sentence you say you change your mindset when speaking to certain people and in the other you say your not changing for anyone. And if being "who you are" means getting flamed constantly then why wouldnt you want to change? If I notice I do something that pisses people off then I stop doing it, plain and simple. You would be smart to heed the same advice, perception is 9/10s of reality.
