so are the 99-04 mustangs, there are some fast ones and they look tight but stock for stock that is no challenge for the ls1

Omg you are a ******* retard katfishkilr, I say we see a vid or you need to get banned. I bet your car isnt as fast as a bolt-on LS1 even with your blower. LS1>2v and btw dumbass, a stock 3v is waayyyy faster than a stock 2v. Maybe youve been racing v6 f-bodies, I think a bolt-on v6 camaro is faster than a stock 2v.

Ok to play the devils advocate the first year PI cars typically ran high 13.8-14.2's with a 5 speed. From a roll and at higher speeds is where it gets ugly for the stang. Off the line with the solid rear and not much power they launch decent. In reality though it takes a Cobra to really be a drivers race with a well driven, decent running LS1 F-body.

ya I keep wonderin why if his car n/a could beat a stock ls1, then why on the 100 shot it still ran the same times as most stock ls1's. Maybe the damn firebird was missing a couple spark plug wires or something.

Im with ^^^^. My bone stock (paper air filter to exhaust tips) street tire 2000 Z28 M6 runs 8.8xx in the 1/8 and that is with a crappy 2.2xx 60 ft time. Only ran the car twice I know I still need practice on the launch. So I call

well i'm just saying that i come on here and I see tons of ls1 f-bodies running 8.4-8.6s with decent launches, bonestock or with a catback. It just doesn't add up unless the camaro was an LT1 or an LS1 with a spun bearing.

Your right LS1 cars do get beat but its not by stock GTs. Come up to St Louis some time and I know you can find some highly modded street driven LS1 cars, but I am sure that its the same way across the country.
