Another GT goes down... Well my buddy has a 2002 Mustang GT with a few little mods (offroad H, Flowmasters, short shifter, TB, intake) He's a cocky little bastard and thinks his GT is the ****.
So ever since i got my TA hes been talking crap to me about how hes going to spank me blah blah blah. He then tells me how he beat his friends 02 auto WS6 by 2 cars in the quarter, and he thinks he can run with me.
So he says lets put 50 on it. Well, after weeks of hearing his garbage i finally accept and he gets all excited. So we go to a remote road and line up. Now he tells me that i should go off him. Well, i say why can't we just honk 3 times? Then he starts saying how i'm scared....if i'm confident it shouldnt matter...etc etc. So i say whatever and wait...
First run he launches well, i drop the clutch like a douche, and he gets about 3-4 cars on me. Well i finally hook and reel him in at about 100-110 when he shuts down and we both agree it was too close to call.
Second run same thing, he gets a good launch, but so do i
and he only gets about 1.5 cars on me. By second i'm at his rear fender, and from then i was just pulled him. By about 110 i shutdown and i'd say hes about 2 cars behind.
I have yet to go to the track but, he later says he ran a 13.6 at the track on DR's. Figure about 2 carlengths on him at the end of a quarter should put me at 12.9-13.3ish??
Can't wait to go to the track, but i'll stay on my Nitto's due to the crappy rear we have. Oh, my mods are lid, k&n, exhaust cutout, on 18x9.5 chrome c6's.
