04 Cobra Kill Last night a big group of guys headed out to our local spot to hang out and see what kind of races get drummed up. The cops ran us off after a little while and we all headed home and had a little playtime on the way back. 3-lane wide interstate on the way back resulted in several races, one of which was me vs a Mystic 04 cobra w/ pullies, CAI, catback, and thats all he will admit to. He runs racing fuel also. Mods worth listing are in my sig. He has two 160lb passengers and he weighs about 120lbs. I weigh 165 and have a 225lb passenger. He won't go from a roll higher than 30mph which is his sweet spot in 1st gear and about 2600rpms in 2nd gear for me(kinda dead spot). He honks three times and then takes the jump. I roast tires through 2nd gear when my nitrous hits and shift to 3rd with him about a car and a half in front now. I gain back ground in 3rd and by the middle of 4th I'm passing him quickly. I stayed in it a little over half way through 5th and put around 3 cars on him before letting out.
FWIW, the guy in the cobra has told different people different hp claims. The first thing he claimed was 481hp/525tq, then I heard 451hp/over 500tq. Then he said 431hp with no torque claim. Last night I think he was hunting and excuse before the race because he claimed he only makes 410hp.

there is no motor to motor with a blown cobra. I wouldn't beat him without spray. From my roll with no spinning, he would probably only have a car length on me by 140. My car does pull pretty hard after 100mph.

Oh and I told you my clutch wouldn't hold the nitrous. It started slipping after 3 days of the turbo.

good kill must not have been too small a pulley. i have with my mods in sig kept with in half a car of a 500 hp h/c 125 shot t/a. so either he is a shitty driver or he dosent have as much hp as he thinks. not trying to defend him just giving my pers exp.
