Default Srt8 300c

I was cruising on the highway with a friend going home from work when i noticed a srt8 300c up ahead. So i catch up to him and the guy moves over a lane so we can be side by side. I give a blip of the throttle so he knows i want to run but he doesn't bite. So i just passed him and kept going but i kept it in 4th instead of 6th just in case. All of a sudden my friend said "He's coming! He's Coming!
He was trying to do a fly by! I was only in 4th at 70 and had no time to down shift to 3rd so i just floored it. I could tell i was out of the powerband
He had the momentum and pulled up to my front wheel and then as soon as i got into my powerband i pulled a car and he had to let off because of traffic. I was surprised that i pulled him that easily with him having the momentum and me being in the wrong gear.

(My friend is a member on here, so i'm sure he'll chime in)

Having driven both cars quite a bit (father has an '06 SRT8), I would say they are about equal in terms of straight-line speed. The SRT8 feels more graceful during cornering and definitely does not feel like a 2-ton vehicle. My Z28 seems to have quite a bit more body roll, and feels more sluggish in general. I prefer the Z28, but mainly because it is a stick. Still, both cars are slow.

Nice kill.

I ran into one of those at the track. Long story fairly short, it lined up next to me, looked stock from the exterior and my brother goes "If you don't beat that thing, we're going to make fun of you forever. It weighs blah, blah, blah. You'll never hear the end of it."

Yeah.......it had forged internals and a blower and was trapping 121 mph on street tires. I'll give you a guess as to who won that race.....

Later in the day, it lined up next to my brother, and he lost, also.

Nice kill. I ran a buddy at the track with his 300 SRT8. He has the basic bolt-ons (intake, exhaust and some sort of tune) and my SS is bolt-ons only. He was trapping 107 and I was 112.

If you were to run them flat out, it would only get worse for the 300SRT8 (I was pulling him pretty good on the top end).

I still love those cars though. Gotta respect how well they run/handle for the weight and all the comfy amnenities they offer.
