99 Vette vs 04 GTO Well, it wasnt really a race as much as it was a chase. I had seen this GTO around and didnt know if the guy would run. He work's at this place that's right off a busy street, and as were driving by my wife tell's me to rev, I was like why? She said the GTO, so I look and he's getting in his car. I didnt rev or anything just went by. Later we pulled off to get something real quick (store) and as we get back on the main street, he was just ahead of us. I started to catch up then I notice him looking in his mirror. As we were going through town he kept flooring it in front of me. I was thinking sweet, he'll definitely play. We get out of town and he floor's it and takes off, so I floor it and get on his ***, then start to look over as if im going to pass him. We did this a couple times (passed 2 cars) and I didnt have room to go by him or I would have. Well he signals to pull off so I follow him. He's was like damn that thing is fast. He said most Vette's dont mess around or cant keep up 
I said yeah, but this one is far from stock and I will mess around 
He asked a few questions about the car and we exchanged compliments and took off. I took off and let him follow, lol this time we had nothing buy miles of wide open road in front of us, needless to say if I had stayed in it he would have dissapeared. Oh well, it was cool to finally run him, and he was a good sport about it.

Sounds like his GTO was pretty stout as well...
But not nearlyas stout as a 3300 pound 750 rwhp c5 with .29 drag LOL...Nonthing short of an fully built Supra/supercharged Viper is gonna run with that 1999 beaste...

Gee, how surprising. A stock GTO you've been wanting to run huh? Must have been a pretty intimidating GTO. You could have predicted this kill sitting at home watching TV.

Yeah it was pretty intimidating, I think it was because he has the 05 hood with the ram air vents. Next time I wont run anyone, because I know the outcome, so I'll say to myself before I run, "hey Finite1 might not approve so dont run"
Lol, ease up a bit, it's all in good fun. Ive seen him drive like a jackass before, so it's always nice to mess with someone especially when they think you wont run or keep up.

I havent had it at the track yet, the previous owner ran a 10.9 @132 taking off easy and shifting early from what he told me, he didnt want to launch it hard to avoid breaking anything. I need to get some et street's or some new dr's. The nitto's I have on it now are pretty worn and arent hooking that well anymore.

Lol, yeah I stood outside his work just waiting for him to get off so I could run him, that's what your saying right? As for LS1's yeah, I dont know too much about them, just the fact that I have a built one in my Vette. I appologize you dont have a faster car, which obviously upsets you, or you wouldnt be worried about who I run. Lol, next time i'll just go to the track and wait for John Force to line up then pull up next to him

If your wife knows about this guy obviously you talk about him recreationally and she wants you to "rev on him". And..... I didn't suggest you didn't know much about ls1's. Did I now? What is your point anyway? Why would your cars upset met? I bet you're in your 40's or 50's? You posted a pretty lame "kill story" if we can call it that and I simply called you on it. And I dont think you can keep up with a John Force funny car, do you?

Lol where's your sacrcasm? I dont sit there and talk about the guy, but we happen to drive by him just about everyday, so obviously im going to see his car. My point was who am I supposed to run? Just about anyone I run it gonna get smashed bad, so what im supposed to stop messing around? BTW, sorry but im not some old guy in a Vette, I happen to be 32 and my wife 30 sorry to burst your bubble. Lol and what would it matter if I was older, what are you 18?
