Default ls1 vs. ls2 gto

So i never have been to the street races around here before so me and some buddies got a group to go up to the Doty road street races on the south side of chicago. There was a WS6 that was trying to race the gto for money and he wouldnt so i told him i would run him for free just for the hell of it. We go from a dig and i immediatly pull him while my tires are spinning through 3rd and i end up with 2 lengths on him. He wanted to go again so we did and i spun even worse and he got my by about a half length.

He told the WS6 that he did have aftmarket parts...but there was no sign of any bolt ons and i kept up with him so i dont think he did. His was automatic and he had Nitto D/R so he had alot better hook up. He kept telling me that i was lieing about my mods because he ussualy pulls stock transam's by about 7-8 lengths.

I really did not expect to win but it was a good race.

Wow I don't think I have ever heard of an LS2 pulling an LS1 F-body by 7-8 lengths stock for stock. Its usually a pretty close match up, good kills.
