Me and a CTS -V I will make this quick since my internet connection has been acting up
This morning I was cruising down a main street outside my neighborhood, when I pass a CTS-V. As I pass him he throws me a rev so I slow down and it was perfect because we were coming up to a red light. He was very loud and had new mufflers/tips in the back, personally I though they looked like fart cans but I only saw them for a second. So the light turns green and we hammer it. He spins and I spin a bit but my KDW's hook perfectly and about a second after launch I start pulling. By 60 he is two cars back and by 80 at 4. He slows down and when he passes me he gives me a wave. I wave back and made the next turn to go home. Car looked good and sounded great, by the sound I am guessing he had full exhaust.

Nice kill. I love those CTS-Vs. If I had the money, that would probably be my car of choice (possibly second only to a new Vette). I got to blast around a short road course in Vegas in one of those for a few days and it was awesome (plus a bunch of other cars, but it was my favorite). They really move out.

yeah they are nice, this one would have been even nicer without the aftermarket over chromed grill and all the chrome accents, but the new one is beautiful and I cant wait for the new 08 cts-v...thats the one to own

He changed the Grill? It is perfect the way it is. And of he added chrome he is an idiot. The biggest exhaust tips that they make is the Bassani (I think) The B&B are pretty big also, but they don't look like fart cans...oh well Good kill! BTW they are not making another V till 09. And word on the street they will have 600hp so im sure the price tag will be HUGE.

my bad, your right the new V in 09, and I also heard it will have like 600hp, and lets not forget the new XLR V to come out on the same platform as the C7, I wonder how fast that will be.
Oh and by the way thats a nice CTS you got there, I am not digging the rims and think it will look more badass with black tint, but still its clean and a great color

no he just had regular rims with some slotted breaks and painted calipers behind it. My car is pretty fast for its mods, I took a c5 vette that had exhaust work by 4 plus cars and I also took a full exhaust 6.0 gto with an aggressive tune (so he says) by 2 lenghts yesterday. But who knows he might of let off. I have only taken her to the track when she was stock with cheap tires and she gave me an 13.2. I also walk on M6 f- bodies with the same mods (lid & cat-back) all the time.

sounds like the guy didnt know how to drive. Ive beaten several f bodied m6's in stock trim both good and bad drivers alike.....you will not have a cts-v by 4 cars at 80mph...sorrrrrrrrryyyyy. If you think so, then were ya located, maybe Ill make a trip to prove my theory.

Well in sure he was stock and as your sig says you are not even close to stock. What people tend to forget is, it is 4 door Cadillac. I play around and don't expect to win. But just to know that I can at least hang with some of the most well built car makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside

this is exactly like the thread i posted, driver error is all that can be said. i agree with everyone saying it shouldnt have happened but in no way am i saying it DIDN'T happen becuase there are all kinds of people with nice rides that have no idea how to drive. for example a kid i went to highschool with called me the about 6 months ago and was bragging to me about his new 2000 Firehawk SLP, its got cat back exhaust m6 the whole bit, its a sweet *** ride but the kid is a tool. he raced my buddies stage 3 cobalt ss that i beat by about one car. well long story short the firehawk only won by 1 car! thats how much i beat the cobalt by and i have a LT1 thats maybe 305hp 310 being a high guess(a4). this kid has atleast 345 with what he has in the car but he has no clue how to drive. i was driving with him during the race and he doesnt even realize he can shift at 6k! he was short shifting at like 5500 rpms and lower. just goes to show even dumbasses can have a nice ride that should be alot faster becuase they just cant drive it.
