i got a better one then that. first lemme say i got the a4 with LT no cats slp y pipe and hooker crossflow. its pretty loud. this new guy starts working at my job and he is into cars. so after a few days of watching me leave out, he decides he wants to talk about the car. i usually romp it from the drive to the stop sign which is prolly 60 or 80 feet. i can almost run first gear out. he tells me, what you running a 6 banger? i said hell no. he says, i thought you were bc you motors pulls high rpms? v-8s dont spin up like yours does. i said what are you an idiot im going 0 to 40 in like one block what do you expect for it to sound like. sometimes grown people are ignorant to an ls1. i showed somebody else the motor and they said it looked tiny, like a v-6. i guess bc it was so far back under the windshield. can you say weight distribution stupid? some older people truely have an old school mentality.
I won't lie, I don't know much about import engines. Sure they're usually sixes, but I don't know what they're capable of. Still though, I think the difference between an 8 and a 6 is quite clear. The exhaust note usually gives it away before having to take a peek inside.

most people that go down to buy corvettes brand new are not car guys, and they dont buy them to race, its a status symbol. i think finding a vette to race around here is one of the hardest things to do.

Alright i was at my buddies house the other day for a party and a kid in an new GT eclipse shows up. i didnt have my ss there but my friend has his rx-7 in his garage. so when the eclipse kid leaves he starts reving his car cause he thinks his aftermarket exhaust is something special..the next day i have a friend call him up n tell him to race me, he tells the kid that i have a v6 camaro. so we meet in a parking lot and we both pop our hoods and he actually looks at my engine and says "yep thats a v6". then we go race after he talks a lot of **** and i smoke him by at least 8 lengths..he gets mad when i break it to him that i have a ls1..just another example of ignorant kids with their imports
i love it, ppl thinks my car is a v6 because it's fully debadged. hehehe..
and i sometimes even say it's a V4 camaro.. lol.

He's a young kid. 19 maybe... and around here ive been finding C5's that pick on me.What made me laugh is that he told my friend that he beat me, so i called him out again that same night and he admitted he lost. LOL

Wow. Most guys I hang around know at least something about cars. They either have some 'respectable rice', Mustangs, or LS1s whether they went from f-body to c5 or not.
Anyone i've ever met thats THAT ignorant to cars drives a beater themselves.
