for years and I have a pretty good understanding of the LSx

PM me on a regular basis for help...as well as new guys.

Well, chances are you're right because you'll probably run up on a stock
one. You do understand though that in the grand scheme of performance
cars, you're at the bottom of the barrel. Granted, I'm not much farther
up...just a few seconds. The difference between you and me is that I
know that there is always someone faster.

Unfortunately, my buddy sold the following car. You'd have a new
appreciation for 05+GT's if you ever run up on a car like this. Again,
it's not the fastest car in the world, but 140+mph traps in a pure
street car are enough to dominate almost every car (and bike)
on the road.

770 RWHP (no nitrous)

They looked great 10 years ago before everyone had them!

...and "around here" your car is the one that is all talk w/ exhaust and no bite.

isnt that the livernoise mustang that they made for that competition to compete with the hennesey viper and ling. vette. if so i saw it on ebay a while back, wish i had picked it up

Thanks for the compliments guys. The car's just intended to be a nice little street warrior........good power with good handling. It's alot of fun to drive....and still makes factory MPG when I'm not rompin on it.

I agree about the hood. If I could ever stop spending money on performance stuff, maybe I could finally get a nice aggressive hood on there. But a new hood is definitely on the agenda. It'll just have to wait until after my exhaust is done.

Thanks. I never dreamed gauges would take such a bite out of my mod budget...but they were worth it.

Well, back when I bought the blower back in 05 the KB and Whipple kits weren't available yet. I really liked the driving manners of a TS blower, and the Saleen provided some of the best gains on such small amounts of boost. 5 lbs is rediculously safe for the stock motor. I know a KB or Whipple would have better modibility down the road, but I'm not lookin to build a race car. If I was, I would have gone with either a Procharger or turbo setup.

Thanks. Yea, I kinda like having a sleeper. My exhaust is 100% stock right now, so ppl see me....figure I'm a bone stock GT....start some stuff.....and then wonder why my tail lights get so small so fast. I figure I'll be plenty faster than a stock GT500 very soon......and for much, much cheaper. Plus my car won't weigh 2 tons.
I also love showin up some of the rabid import guys on the twisties, guess they figure my "rustang" can't hang a hook worth a damn.

You're making over 400rwhp, so you probably already are.

Nice kill, there's plenty of new bolt on auto gt's running mid high 12's according to some of the mustang forums, some without headers, some ls1's dont even do that..but i also like the 99-04 style better than the new also

Nice kill. Obviously I like F-bodies better, but there's nothing wrong with a Mustang. Most of my car friends have cobras/mustangs because they actually go to meets, unlike what I've seen from F-body owners.

My friend has an '05 GT that's whipple supercharged at 10psi. 487whp.

Most of my friends drive stangs as well.

I got the chance to kill one this summer when my car was stock. He got the holeshot but I got him by about 3 car lengths by the end of the track. He came back around and pulled over for a second. Bad Idea my GF at the time was waiting to follow him into the lanes. She followed him into the lanes and layed the smack down on him with her stock appearing but modified GrandPrix GTP.(Not the one I own) He parked it for the night after that race.

Nice looking cars. I love the way the new Roush mustangs look. The gt500 is very blah.It needs more like the new gt500KR, SuperSnake or the Roush.

You know i thought that car looked familar. I saw that car in the super car shoot out video from road and track or it might have been motor trend. They said it made 800hp. They showed a clip of the car on a top speed run and hit 180mph. There were lots of other tuners there than just Hennesey and Lingenfilter.

69's are a little overplayed.

As for my opinion on the New Edge GT's vs the S197's. I love the 2001-2004 GT's. They look great. I just wish they came with the 3V motor, as it takes too much work to get alot of power from the 2V. I'm generally bored with the way the S197's look. I think I just see too many of them. However, I do see some that I REALLY like and it makes me want to pick one up. I think they look sick in black and in that dark tan/pewter color (not sure what's called).

Good kill to the OP.
