I'm no kid,(29)but I have had several fast cars and worked to pay for all of them.You get a sense of satisfaction when you save up your hard earned money to buy the things you want. We are not all rich, but I bet we all knew someone rich when we were growing up that got everthing they ever wanted. do you 6think they appreciated those gifts more or less because they didn't work for them. Some rich people do care and some cherish the things they have as much as the rest of us. Working for something gives you pride, builds character and makes you wise. I had a freind in high school who got everything, corvette,cadllac, hummer,jeep,fourunner,pathfinder,lexus, and anything else he wanted. He trashed them all and ended up in on drugs real bad. Sometimes I'm glad I wasn't born rich, cause I'd probably be the same way. So lets all work a few extra hours this week so we can get another mod sooner.lol

Well do you live with you parents during this time? What about house note, electric bill, cable, gym fees, health insurance, .. etc.. etc.. Just cause your parents didnt pay for your car or whatever. They provided you will a hell of a lot more money in other areas... Its easy to save money we you dont have to spend it.. You'll **** we you leave mummy and daddy..

Re: Teens ... how do you do it? gym fee's? you mean i get free gym living at home wtf i gotta go sign up. My dad works for a Union truck line no insurance fee. My college is free because i worked my *** off and got a scholarship As for house note, cable,food emmmm they would be paying that either damn way. And as stated above did you not live with mummy and daddy? If not then damnnnnnn i am extremely suprised you were able to raise yourself as a baby. I never said i wasn't EXTREMELY grateful of all work my parents have done to make my life easier. And as for YOU WILL **** WHEN YOU LEAVE MUMMY AND DADDY emmm no I know how much bills are and I will be responsible enough to buy a house I can more than afford. As a matter of a fact i have money in the stock market right now that I am saving for a down payment on a house when i get out of college!

I find older gentleman that think their corvettes are the fasting thing on the planet, pop my hood, ask themn to race for 1K and when they back down, talk ****, lure a few back in, smoke the hell out of them, take the money directly to speed inc. That is how my car gets modded.

Re: Teens ... how do you do it? I started working when I was 12-13 in my dads machine shop sweeping floors. I did the grass mowing, dish washing thing too. I bought my first car when I was 15. Now 10 years down the road Ive just paid off my truck I bought new when i was 19 and got a 98 T/A. Ive got friends that havnt had a job in there life till they where 20. Ive grew up with the rich @$$holes and Ive hung with them. Cant stand to see kids get away with it but thats life.
Re: Teens ... how do you do it? Hey, I'm somewhat rich, and I don't consider myself an *******. I do feel bad for those who don't get a nice car for there first car, but **** happens. My dad never had a car growing up, and my mom had a station wagon. They jointly decided to get me and my brother cars because they know what it felt like to go without a car through high school. I have wanted an SS or a WS6 since 1998 and my parents wanted to get us nice cars because old cars more oten then not are money pits. So don't call us *** holes, some of us are, and I'll tell you, I hate them too, but don't declair all of us ********!
Re: Teens ... how do you do it? This old fart (I'm 47), had some monetary help from mom and dad. They also taught me to save money every week from my jobs, which was not to be touched. This is the BEST investment advice there is.
Retirement is around the corner, and now I have funds to support my car "habit".
