anyone say what they will about a GT500. dealer down the street has one in the show room and its pretty sharp, and im a chevy guy.
440 rwhp stock is nothing to be ashamed of, thats damn good.
with some fat tires and few little mods it would be considered fast by any stretch of the imagination or a streetable car.
thing that kills it is the cost of the car.
with what people are paying above sticker, you could get a new C6 with 436 horses (with the optional exhaust). which is much lighter and ive seen stock Vette vs GT500 and the vette won by more than a couple seconds traction worth.

spoken like a true racer.
People look at me crazy when I tell them my car runs 13 at 130+ I cant sixty the thing to save my life. Some people need to sit down and do the math lets say a car with 500hp traps 130+ in the 1/4 thats true numbers because the sixty and the power is there lets say a car with 120hp traps 120+ in the 1/4 that **** aint true do the math even with a .1.1 sixty it wont do it

There's no shame in admitting that your a ford fan, there's nothing wrong with that. At least your not a ricer fan and invested your money in one of those fast can intake and exhaust systems this guy who started this thread is talking about.

People look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them my car runs 13s at 130+. I can't sixty the thing to save my life. Some people need to sit down and do the math. Let's say car "A" with 500hp, traps 130+ in the 1/4. That sounds reasonable because trap speed is the indicator of true power output. But you also have to take into account the weight of the car. Now, let's say a car weighing the same as car "A" with 120hp traps 120+ in the 1/4. That is not logical. The power to weight ratios say that this is impossible. Even with a .1 sixty, it won't do it
