Its just my opinion, I'm tired of reading through all this internet trash talking, I just don't really see why people get so defensive when they get beat. If someone is so butthurt they need to spend a bunch of money to show some people they've never met on the internet that their car is fast, my guess is that person is probably single.
I mean its all good to talk some **** and have a little fun, but some of you act like total weiners.
Someone who has a 10 second car doesn't impress me.

Merv, 93blueoval, LS WHAT, Caseman and Nitrous Junkie SVT: Don't take this the wrong way, but you all really need to chill out. Besides Merv, I don't know if I've ever met any of you guys, but we have a really great group of guys here in the LR area that love to hang out, race, talk about/admire each others cars and so on. Sometimes Merv is welcome, sometimes he's not. I'm not taking sides....I think both parties are guilty.
But all the threats accomplish nothing. Everyone needs to chill out and calm down. We need to drop all this, and start from scratch. Set up a night for everyone to run, and leave the name calling and threats at home. Whoever wins, wins. Pat on the back, nice car, good run, better luck next time. This bickering makes the LR guys look bad.
On top of that, the comments about 13 and 12 second cars are kind of ridiculous. If you're new to the site, you'll find that you're not gonna win any popularity contests when a vast majority of the members run 13 and 12 second 1/4 miles. It's respectable and still faster than 90 % of the cars on the market today. The majority of the LR guys fall in this category, yet their rides are still badass IMO. We'll all be faster someday, but a lot of people take that personal when they've worked hard to buy their car and put some simple mods on it and finally achieve a low-13, or a high 12, or a mid 12. You're comments really take away from that achievement, however small or big it is.
Most of the folks around here are surprised by these threads going on right now. We all usually get along fabulously and we aren't used to seeing threats made over something as simple as a race. Wow IB4TL, I'm gonna have to agree with 99hawk on this one, some people just need to grow up because it most likely both parties fault. BTW if merv is military which I'm almost positive he is, beating the **** out of him wouldn't be the best idea #1 there are groups in the military that make you disappear for that **** #2 the military is very protective of its own #3 it's just stupid to be e-thuggin it up on the internet
