He is going to need more than a TBE, Intake and Tune to beat you. Our buddy has those mods and we pull him pretty easily. As for the Evo 9, they are quick with just a couple mods. Im actually posting this up in another thread but here's the vid...

The Evo IX has a TBE and reflash (22psi) ran 12.4@108

BTW what year is your car? A higher stall convertor, DR's, and full exhaust should do the trick nicely. Then LCA's and reloc brackets if you get a lil wheel hop.
I have a 2002.

First of all he needs to ditch the BOV (rice) they do absolutely nothing at moderate boost levels and actually hurt performance do to allowing metered air out of the system which causes a rich condition AND lag due to that air not being recirced back to the turbo to maintain spool.

Secondly the stock turbo is made for fast spool for Rally, auto-x etc. and quickly runs out of breath past 80mph. The minimum he needs to do In order to keep up and maybe edge you out on a highway roll is upgraded turbo (deadbolt 20g highly recomended), fuel pump, injectors and a professional dyno tune.

It was about 55 degrees outside, maybe a little more. I'm sure the car has another tenth or two in it since I staged wayyyyy too deep and I didn't launch it, either.

bolt on Evo's really aren't your problem...cammed ones can be a little tricky...

Ok so you have the LS6 intake covered. You can get a cam and make decent power w/o doing heads.

Sorry to say, but your friend can't drive for his life, lol. With about 400 whp, he should trap more than your 112 mph and from a dig, he should kill you. You won because you're a better driver, but his car is more powerful.
