Noble death. I wonder which tune - B&G or Diablo Sport?

Tip for you (STOCK) LS1 guys - do your highway races at 70mph vs. the SRT-8 - its the dead spot of 3rd gear and the only hope you'll have.

They hit 150mph in the same time as a C5 6M, almost 5 seconds ahead of an LS1 Fbody.

Yeah man, stock. Well I have a K&N drop in filter and a SLP lid now so maybe a 13.1, who knows, lol.

I couldn't agree more. I'm glad your not getting rid of it. How can you pass up a car that sits 5 comfortably and runs low 13s/high 12s bone stock. Pretty damn impressive.

FWIW I raced a SRT-8 when my car was bone stock, freeway roll race. He pulled about half a car up to 130ish. Very nice, quick cars

i had an incounter with a srt8 one night i raced him from a dig and couldnt get traction and he walked me pretty hard, he pulled in the gas staitoin about a mile later and i tried to talk to him, i told him he had a pretty quick car and ask what he had done to, and he was a complete jackass about everything he said fbodys cant hang with his car he said he raced them all. i thought to myself sure you have. then i ask him what was done to his car and he acted all cocky and said i cant tell you. so i said lets go form a 40 so we did and he pulled about 1 1/2 cars on me as he held his hand out the window waveing good by like a jackass. but on the flip side they are pretty quick cars...

Alot of those owners are middle aged guys with a lot of money and are really cocky. They are like 3 times as expensive as a solid Fbod and can barely take them. I had to put a beating on one guy who was talking a lot of smack about my car and fbods in general. I'd say I put about 4-5 cars on him from 40-130. I'm bad at estimating that kind of stuff but it was around there. I know he was pretty far back. Although I am no where near stock...it had to be done!

That sucks you met some A-holes because usually the guys on the forums have nothing but respect for the fbodys. Especially once easily modded, it's bye-bye for us SRT-8 owners. Not to mention better aftermarket support, far lighter, etc etc.

I've been wanting to race a SRT-8 Charger/300 but havent had the chance. My GTO isn't stock but I would guess they would still be tuff to handle. I've seen a black one once but didn't get a chance to run him.

Are you sure the SRT8 knew there was a race going on, dude?

I own both. Stock for stock they are pretty close with the slight edge in favor of the SRT8. If the SRT8 were in the same weight range as the f-body it wouldn't even be close. Its 1000 pounds heavier!!

Im running exhaust (BB catback), MOPAR CAI and a B&G tune in my SRT8 and for a wagon it sure can surprise a few fellow car enthusiasts....
