Default Killed honorably by an S65 AMG

Cruising down an unnamed major surface street, I see him behind me at a stop light. Hard to ID these from the front, looks pretty much like any other MB. After I leave the light pretty hard, I notice him easing up through traffic. As he gets up next to me, the road is open but I am thinking about Christmas shopping so we're just making good time together. Well, at the second red light, I think we were both getting antsy. We both take off moderately - bout half throttle. He's dead even with me, I don't look, neither does he...we both punch it from about 5-10 mph. He dead hooks (of course) I get some spin, only a little but enough to keep me from pulling him. At 60, we're still dead even. Immediately after the shift to second, he starts to barely ease away but we both shut it down at 70-75 as traffic/stoplights were coming up. He had about a half to 3/4 car length on me. We slowed, waved, exchanged niceties and went our separate ways. Silver car, asian guy, looked to be mid-30s (like me) and what I guess is his wife with him. Very cool guy and a fun race.

Next mods - torque arm and 17x11s! On a perfect launch, I may have gotten him at first but the extra power and extra gear would've given the same result, just taken longer, I think. Bottom line, if you're stock - those things will eat yout lunch. Looked effortless too. I hardly feel bad about the loss!

Nice death. I haven't came across an S65 AMG yet but I have crossed an E55 AMG. I pulled him by only one car length from 55 to 100
