I made a couple pulls against a 5.0 notch on the highway. The lowest we did was a 3rd gear pull, and a couple 4th gear pulls. We maybe got up to top of 4th gear, and a couple into 5th down a slope. It sounded like he had an auto or gears, cam, headers and exhaust. My motor is all stock, just with an intake and exhaust pretty much. By the time we shut down he only had a car length TOPS on me..
He stayed behind me, and actually lives in my neighborhood, it was definitely a race cam. He complimented my car on the pulls, and it's pretty much stock. So it made me feel pretty good that a stock motor kept up plenty with a modded notch.
Just a little bit more time and money, and i'll have my mods..

Old thread revived, wow. Lol.... My car was totalled in August by an old lady running a red light. A month before that I swapped a cammed LS1 into. Now that cam and PCM is running my current SOM WS6.
