Changing of the guards. Most of the time when driving a low 9 second street car you do not lose many races. The Viper is owned and driven by Gary Javo who is a pro drag racer. Problem is his gearing was changed to a 2.75 for the texas Mile run. Not sure how much it would have helped since his turbos still needed to spool up. Plus he ran from a low speed which is the Lambos strong point with AWD. Weird seeing all 4 wheels leaving rubber.

Lambo was built and driven by Jason Heffner. We decided on Saturday night to all go out and rip up Sarasota. To witness this race was incredible. Over dinner we all chatted about what happened. We decided to run the Lambo against my Viper at Bradenton racetrack the next day since we had a private rental. I blew my halfshaft in a shakedown run but it would have been interesting race. I have more videos and lots of pictures.


Gene from Keisler wanted to see this video and I decided to share it with everyone. I am a diehard Camaro nut and also own a Viper so don't abuse me too bad for going over to the dark side.

 

Nice run. Like to see rematch with lower gearing in the Viper. Sweet cars

Been seeing a twin turbo gallardo from Doug Levin around here. Worlds becomming a fucked up place...with 800 WHEEL HORSEPOWER EXOTIC'S running around.

Good video but...you guys should have used those cars what they where built for,...higher speed. Would have liked to of seen what would happen with a higher speed start.... and more then a gear....or two.

Im sure your not Bsing this story, so thats not the point of my question, but,.....how come you cant hear any turbos / bov / back firing etc.....I see stock gallardos riding around my area all the time, and that gallardo sounds stock.

 

130 is enough on the street I think. Gotta keep it somewhat in check you know what I mean?

Those cars should just start hookin hard at 130mph with the power they are puttin down.

Time and place I believe for everything....but,..for those cars,..or cars at THAT power level,..130 is nothing. Hell, 130 in my car is nothing...

cars with that kind of power should run up to 180. Hell ive already hit 175 against a tt 350z in my relatively low horsepower z.

 

Lower speeds show the Gallardo's strength, and higher speeds would (rear gear pending) probably show the Viper's strength... regardless, badass runs
