The cobra made 466 rwhp and I made 434 on the blower. I was waiting on a bottle so I ran him without it. I'm used to 4.30 gears and it was the first time at the track with the 3.73s. I knew he was gonna have a slight edge on me with 32 more hp and a roots style blower. I had a great reaction time with a .081 to his .2xx but I launched at too low rpm and he shot ahead of me by half a car length. It stayed at half for the entire race. The second time I launched at dam near redline and had a .121 reaction to his .322 with a 1.77 60 to his 1.80. I got half a car on him and held him off for that one. I then got a bottle and was gonna run a modded vette but I deep staged and it give me a red light. I started to back up to restage and he took off. I run solo then and tried to spray it just to see what it would do but it didn't spray. It was already late so I didn't worry about trying to find out what was wrong with it. It was a fun day at the races anyway.

How much boost and what kind of shot do you spray? I'm in the middle of adding nitrous on top of my blower, too.

sound like fun. if your beating a him with 30 hp and yall are prob around the same weight, sounds like you have a driver mod. or he needs one

 

gt should be about 400 lbs less but given the blower and nitrous id say about 250-300

 

really bacause the cobras weigh about 3600 lbs. n i thought the gts weighed about 3500lbs so i added 100 lbs for blower and n2o. im pretty sure th 99-04gts did not weigh 3200lbs did they?

mine weights 3300 is pounds with my weight reduction..but ill find out for sure soon.

 

The average 99-04 GT is ~3350lbs. So ~300lbs less than an '03-'04 Cobra.

 

the iron block maks up quite a few of those lbs. and the blower too

 

GTs already have iron blocks... not sure what you're getting at

my gt was 3440 with me in it and im about 200lbs. that with no weight reduction besides spare tire and jack. car has leather with abs as well.

 

I have the extra weight from the blower, 1 12in speaker and box and the bottle. My car weights 3500 with me in it and I weight 280. I was killin him on the reaction times. That's where I had the advantage. One of my buddies has a vid of it on his camera. I'll try to get it from him the next time I see him. I'm running 10 lbs of boost and a 75 shot. He wanted to run me on the gas one time just to see how it would turn out but my nitrous isn't working for some reason. I still haven't had time to look at it. My car made 434 on a dyno that had something wrong with it. My tuner called me after he figured it out and got it fixed and said I'm probably in the 445 range on blower which equals things out pretty good. Say he's got about 20 more rwhp and he did pull on me just a little but I had killed him off the tree so bad he couldn't catch up. He actually run a faster ET than me but he just couldn't make up for the about 2 tenths I got him off the tree. Without a dought he's a little faster on the blower alone but I would have killed him on the gas, if it would work that is.
