Default DD T/A takes out skittle

yesterday coming home from powerhouse where my camaros at, i run into a blue skittle with two young guys around my age inside. I was ahead of them, and saw them in my rearview mirror tearing *** to catch up to me, so i oblige by slowing a bit.
it was 55 degrees out in chicago yesterday, just warm enough for me to feel safe "broke traction too many times in cold to even think about getting stupid to show up to kids in a skittle".
they get side by side with me, smile and nod, and boom they go. i hang even with them, nose at their mid car, due to them going without honks, and reel them in real slow before passing them, end up ahead by a car at about 95mph when i let off, satisfied i had won.

guess what accompanied there loss?
the ricer fly by.
stock 2000 TA, with Ttops off and windows down, A4
i caught up with them at the light, and they were trying to mess with 03-04 cobra, black.
some people just dont learn.

like i said i dont watch 1/8 mile races. i would think that u would half the time since its half the track distance but most cars make theyre power at higher speeds so maybe high 7s might be right. i know that theyre a high 12s car. 03-04 cobras r no joke.

Its not where they make their power, its where they can put the power down with adequate traction.

It takes a lot longer to travel the first half of the quarter than the second half due to acceleration. You have to start moving and accellerate through the first 8th mile, then the second 8th mile is just building upon the speed that you have already built up through the first.

id say a cobra should be around your time. being a stalled auto you probably 60 ft. better than a cobra. and the cobra should come around you on the other end.
