Going down the highway a week or two ago, I and a couple of friends decide to play around on the highway. This also happens to be my first run against a mustang, its been all camaros up until then.
To do this on a 4 lane..we had the mustang and camaro up front, and me playin catch up i guess you could say. We started at about 50 mph, and ran them for a good solid 5 miles or so.
I passed the mustang before i hit 3rd, he just didn't take off near as quick.
I got up beside the z28, and we stayed even up until i hit about 130 or so, and i pulled slowly away.
After i pass him i look down and im running around 175 or so, and everything is a blur.
We take a mile or two, calm it down, and run again (just me and the z28)

On this run, i pull on him from 2nd @ 60mph
i run up thru 4th gear and pull on him fairly well.
I miss 5th gear and hit 3rd doing around 130, by the time i got it corrected, he was even with me and slowly pulling
Somehow or another i pulled even with him just before slowing down, i think he may have pegged his speed limiter, but i was doing around 165 or so when i let off.

It only lasted around 10 minutes from start to finish, and we burned up like 10 miles of highway in no time @ all. Looking forward to another run like this.

Nice runs. Those are some high speeds. You probably pulled away like that way top end because the Camaro just won't go that fast, haha.

Careful with the accidental shift to a lower gear. That can mess stuff up for you, and I don't mean the results of the race.
