so last nigth on the way to the car meet. i was diving down 360 and a saleen mustang pulls up so i figure may b he'll want to run. so pull up on him see whats going and he yells no you should run whats behind me. so i slow up and its a lamorghini gallardo. so we are doing about 80 adn i wait for him to move and i drop it into 3rd and as soon as i hit gear he pulled me by like 8 cars. now the mods i have done to my car are headers, ORY, 3in cut out, relocation brk, and custom tune. he did me dirty, but it was really cool to see it.

second race of the night. me vs. 01 SS he has all the same mods as me plus a ported TB. so we start at like 40, 3 honks i slam into 1st start losing traction but pull him by a car and just keep pulling. truck cuts me off and almost puts me into a wall. we go again this time both drop to 2nd he pulls a fender on me but i hit 3rd and gain to be a fender ahead and i stay ahead the rest of the race. it was fun but seeing that lambo was the highlight of the night.

I want to get my *** handed to me by a Lambo. Starting at a high speed probably wouldnt give an Fbody the best chance against a Lambo. Cool story.

 

My buddy at work has a Gallardo Spyder. Off the line WITHOUT a launch it is weak. Zero "throw you back in your seat" feeling. It needs to be going in the high RPM to be fast. Off the line without a launch my 02 Z06 ate it up. We never raced with him launching it.

He is not a racer type...and I don't think he has launched it since he has had it. He just cruises in it and goes fast on the freeway...its a chic magnet for him. I would like to have one...but there is something to be said about having an LS1 that makes you feel like a guy...you know what I mean?

From what Ive read the gallarados trapp around 116 mph??????? Not slow by any means and GORGEOUS car...

From a roll my money would be on a stock Gallarado VS a stock 2002 C5Z06...

Thats true..in a quarter mile I guess the Gallardo would win. But Cliff has the spyder (heavier) and I am refering to him NOT launching it. Im serious...the first geat without a launch felt like an S2000. Even he says its slower off the line then his SL 500 AMG. (NOT launched)

Since I have been driving fun cars I would say the 02 Z06 was my favorite by far. I traded it in for the Exige cause its looks so awesome. But the Exige needs more power and its so tiny. The Z06 was just a beast.

So if the Z06 raced my exige..the Z06 would destroy it. BUT when I pull in to get gas in the Exige EVERYONE wants to talk about cars...and I like that...even though I DO NOT like kinda looking like a yuppy

Didn't the show Top Gear have a supercharged Exige running high 3.xx sec. 0-60. Those are some nice but I rather have that Noble M15
