Do you understand what stock means!?
Dude the car has a lousy CAI (the only thing that would increase his trap). Maybe worth 3mph on a good day. Anyway, as I stated earlier I could care less. That thread is old news as you can see by the date. Don't get your panties in a bunch over it.

No panties here...I'm going comando. I still stand on what I said and I would be willing to put just about any amount down saying that anyone on this board cannot take a BONE STOCK C5 Z06 off the show room floor and run 121mph.

I agree 100% you cant take a showroom stock Z06 and run 121 even in the most perfect of weather it is still impossible. Hell even ranger from corvetteforum never went that fast I think he did with some bolt ons and he is a hell of a driver but bone stock z06 is impossible to trap 120s

Yeah I totally believe a few of them but not the ones really over 116-117. Some guy I know went 11.80s at I think 117 with full exhaust and a big *** nitto outback and I think that was it. Some are believable but its easy to add a mph or 2 so its really hard to say.

How about you re-read my original post? I said one "may" have hit 121. That thread was two years old and I had to dig to find it. I stated with the link the car had a power mod, so be it. 123 with CAI is pretty impressive to me.
Also, you must have missed post 5 where one of our LS1Tech members has hit 119mph in his stock 03'.
I'm not going to argue with high school kids over a couple mph. A stock C5Z can only trap 119 stock, you feel better now? That's about 30mph better than the last stock 95 5.0 I seen run.

Dude...A freaking 3130 pound 365 rwhp C5Z06 aint gonna trapp no 119 mph.........seriously man...most of them are around 350 rwhp and are gonna trapp 113-116 mph...117 mph dead stock is dayum impressive...118 mph is next to impossible but can be done with everything 100% perfect...119 just aint gonna happen unless someone just happenned to hAVE THE FREAKIEST OF THEM ALL BONE STOCK 375 RWHP z06 AND JUST HAPPENS TO HAVE rANGERS DRIVING SKILL AND JUST HAPPENS TO RUN AT A TRACK WITH A NEGATIVE 2000 FT DA

Come on man....Really...it's a 115-116 trapping car with a good driver..Respectable..But this 119-121 mph crap is just un real....

A big factor in the trap speed will be density altitude. Guys running at tracks like ATCO in the winter in -DA conditions are the ones hitting 117+. In standard conditions with a good driver I'd agree with everyone else -mid/low 12s @112-115.

Still very impressive for a car you can pick up in the 20s now.

Your dayum right on that one..I will never stop giving props to the C5Z06..In 2002 it was just as much a monster as the C6Z06 in 2006 by comparison to what other cars were running in 2002...

The differance is that a C6Z06 is a 70K corvette and it should be a monster for that kind of coin...The C5Z06 on the other hand was only priced around 50K and didnt hAVE TO BE THAT MUCH BETTER THAN THE 45 k BASE C5..

C5Z06 will always have my respect

Wow. Tell the guy in post 5 he did not trap 119mph then He's lying to look super cool on the internet. What a joke. I have to ask why you care so much about a couple mph here or there? Really baffles me how tied up in the number game you are. Must be bored.

Ran 12.04@115mph 1.82 60' on dr's w/ LT's w/cats and no tune. DA was approx. +1500ft. I was told by another racer. I do not powershift. No real times with the HCI as I trashed 4rth gear on my first pass and couldn't get it to go in on every pass threreafter. Stock clutch has to go. Just picked up a Ram twin and will have to get the trans freshened up before I try again. It did go 11.90's@105. Pretty close to Kilemall's Viper with only 3 gears.

Congrats....You almost ran as fast as my intake/exhaust SRT10 with your H/C Z06...

Cant wait till a few weeks from now when I have my ported heads and cam installed pushing 600 rwhp SAE....Then my 10's in the 130's will probally be easy for you to almost do as well with only 3 gears...

Big props to ya and your 1997 desighned 4xx rwhp beatse there buddy...

BTW....You do know that in a head to head comparison your C5Z06 ran a 12.4 at 116 VS my srt10's 11.7 at 123 mph right????

Not even the same hemisphere bro

I can't wait until I have a 402 with an F1. We can do this all day. Get your G-tech out and post up some screenshots magazine boy. Can't wait to see 'em.
Make sure the work is done correctly, wouldn't want you messing up that longblock you got there.
