Just got done doing some practice runs after the new spark plugs/wires/coil packs and retourqued harland Sharps roller rockers ( they were loose to the point the car had a check engine light and only dynoed 330 rwhp) I gotta say that she feels stronger than ever....

The races are going down soon. Gonna be a fun night

BTW..From a dig Ill destroy them both..Money in the bank..tell me what ya think..Money in the bank...Ha ha ha....But the glorys in the roll races...And Im the under dog on this one dammit

 

That ACR is a beaste man....Imagine the same Viper that fadi raced in the vid with the red GTS doing a slight fly bye and fadi having a hard time catching up at all and over all loosing..

Now imagine that same GTS with 3.33 gears instead of the 3.07's..this is what were up against...From 70-110 the ACR is gonna be scary. But i think after 110 his gear advantage will be subdued...dayum pesky ACR's..LOL

Well..The hit time was set between us 3 and aprox. 1 hour before that time it started drizzling...Me and my friend with the ACR met up and talked for a while seeing if it would dry up..

The Z06 guy RSKY, was chilling with his family and said he wouldnt run if it was wett but to call him if it cleared up..

So then me and my ACR buddy went to my house and played Forza on the Xbox 360 for an hour..I played with a SRT1- vert just like mine and him with a ACR just like his...We played on the ring and it was an awesome warm up..LOL..

So another 30 minutes goes bye and we decide to drive to the local 1/4 mile spot..We get their and inspect the road surface but agreed it was to wett..

So then we hit the freeway and drove away from the storm....We had a communication problem as I wanted to go from a 70 mph roll due to fear in my heart of possible damp conditions even though it looked pretty good..He wanted to go from a dig-30 mph start point...

We finally seemed to agree on 40ish mph and hit it on the 3 beep..

Beep beep beeeeeeep.....

Im about 2 cars in front of him by 70ish ( he says he lost it a lil bit)..At 100 mph Im still around 2 cars in front of him..By 120ish i see him SLOWLY creepingup on me..At 130ish he's only a car behind me..We let off at 145ish with his nose on my rear bumper due to upcoming traffic...

We then find 2 more great spots and hit it around 50 mph..beep beep beeeep...Door to door and then on both runs I miss third gear...man not driving the Viper for a few months has made me a novice..LOL

Wethen drive to the Z06's house reeady to wake him up and get it on...But as soon as we get their it starts raining and we say screw it and call it a night.....


pretty inconclusive at this point....But the 40-145 run was VERY close....To close to call who's car was faster...But we'll find out tomorrow hopefully....As well as the Z06..

Ive got a digital camera..Ill try the velcro to the dash technique tonight and see if it works. I have no idea how/if the camera can down load the video footage to the internet. But Ill find some one who dose.

Well I guess the C5Z06 guy talked to one of his Z06 buddies and knew what was gonna happen and never showed up...But heres what went down..


2003 SRT10 vs C6Z06

03 Viper=kn filters/roller rockers/exhaust/no cats 470 rwhp
07 C6Z06=stock 455 rwhp
02 ACR Viper=headers/exhaust/no cats/roller rockers/gears 460 rwhp

From a dig my SRT10 puts a car on the Z06 from 0-60 mph and the vette stays a car behind till 140 mph..

round 2...My SRT10 puts 2 cars on the Z06 bye 60 mph and then the Z06 almost looses it in second and is 7 plus cars back when I shut down a 120 mph...


Round 3....The Z06 puts a car on my SRT10 by 60 mph and I stay 1 car behind till 140 mph ( I bogged pretty bad off the line)


Pretty fun races...


Then me and the 2002 ACR viper went and had a lil fun...From 60-100 mph I was around 2 cars in front of him....But then he started closing the gap and by 140 mph was 1 car behind me....

Fun race as well...Of course all this happenned on Xbox 360 if you happen to be a cop



BTW...Theres a vid of my first race with the Z06 of pretty good quality..My friend is working on getting it linked..

 

Hmmmm, sounds like the Z06 got you in 33.3333333333% of the dig races, so I guess this comment is mistaken. So I can only imagine that the ACR would get you on 33.333333333333% of the dig races, as well, and he has a slightly stronger top end, so maybe MORE than that.

 

Actually I beat the ACR from 60-140 mph....Catching up is still loosing....Maybe at 160 mph he'd be next to me...But eventually my 3.07 gears would over take his 3.33's....

But in the distances we raced I was the victor..So what are you getting at?????

We launched I left the line at about 3200 rpm but it felt sluggish. I couldn't put my finger on it.. After the race I realized that the TC was still on..

round two.

Turned off the TC. Launched at 3200 rpm.. I immediately lost control and almost hit killemall and then saw the car point at the bushes.. didn't even get into second. damn

round three.

I launched less than 3 and it bogged, but luckly I heard his bog as well. As soon as I felt the car grip I knew I had him.

I think it's a matter of driver vs. vehicle. I just need to get more practice. I haven't raced the car since a couple months, as you were practicing the night before and earlier that evening. give me a few months (as if you have a choice) and I know I'll improve driver reaction time, shifting, and control.
