Ran a C5....
Ran a C5.... I was heading home from work when a C5 vert pulled in behind me. I slowed alittle hoping he would catch up but didn't have any luck. Luckily we caught a light up ahead. I gave a rev but he didn't respond, though an old vw bug behind him gave me 5 or 6, lol. The light turned green and as we passed the intersection both going left, he punched it. I was at his bumper on the hit and was ready incase he changed his mind. I quickly made up ground and let off around 80 with around two cars on him and pulling. He pulled up beside me again and was laughing, giving me a thumbs up.
I think he was amused that he got beat by the suv and most likely didn't know anything about them, lol.

Verdad Gallardo The vette appeared to be an auto and he did leave slower than I would have expected. I would also have to agree that to 80, seems alittle unlikely. It may have been faster, I wasn't paying close enough attention.
It would be pretty pathetic for me to make up this story to say the least. Anyone who has read my kills in the past should know. I would also be interested in running the vette. I live at sens and spencer. 225 feeder is a perfect place to run. Just let me know when you get the car back.

Well I'm thinking that the Vette driver laughed and gave the thumbs up simply because he was tickled by the SUV with 22's that made a half-decent effort trying to "do something" against his C O R V E T T E. Honestly, had he wanted to, he coulda really romped on it and destroyed the Trailblazer.
I figure he took it as an easy win and did not get on it 100% at the beginning. With the "slingshot" effect I believe I was able to overpower him. I figure my wife's tbss should run low 13s, high 12s, so he made a mistake and took me for granted.

If he got the jump in the beginning and puts down within at least 50rwhp there's no way this story can possibly be legit. Unless, of course, he wasn't racing at all.

You said "he punched it when he turned left", meaning he was, at some point, "all in it". It can be assumed he let off right after the punch since you were indeed able to pull him by "2 cars by 80".
Any other scenario you can come up with is basically fantasy land. With like huge flowers and mushrooms along side the road and ****.

What a coincidence, I work on Sens Rd. It is not a long street so you cant be far from me. I am still waiting on my trans to get back but I HOPE it will be back this week or early next week. Either way, with us being so close we can set it up. All in good fun, and yea the feeder is a good spot. I will PM you when I get it back and we can give it a shot.
Are you going to bring the GT or the TB? A buddy of mine has a GT that he did a motor swap with a Ford GT! He bought the car from a dealership that had the car and a tree fell on it! It has like 36 miles on it. He got the entire engine and driveline for like 9K, quite a steel.

Tune (runs way to fat at wot 10.9 afr),homemade cai, 2800-3000 vig verter, flt trans, ud, efans on 17 drag radials went 12.95 at 104 with a 1.7 60".
Getting this tune buttoned up and I should be able to get 12.7's at 105 maybe 106.

It's priceless to see the look on stock 4th gen. f-bod owners faces when you keep up with them, even in cornering. Hell of grocery gitt'r!
This awd TBSS feels just as fast as my 01' TA was when it had a lid and Magnaflow exhaust and I did pull on a few 97'-00' Corvettes with that. fwiw.
