Default Killed by a Civic Si

Coming home yesterday evening from buying my wife a b-day gift...I was driving down a 4 lane in downtown Antarctica when I slide up on this 99 Civic Si that atleast has folgers crystals a brewing. Not thinking about racing I go around him easily only for him to downshift and do a flyby...well that was the only "kill" because apparently he thought we were racing. He nails his brakes to slow down for me. Laughing...I downshift to 4th with 4.10's about 45mph. He nails it and gets a fender on me when I just mash the gas and walk him badly. Well naturally I let him catch back up. I look over and he has this sh*t eatin grin on his face. Ironically, we are the 1st to arrive at the next stoplight. I know I don't have any traction and figure he's stock with exhaust as slow as he is so I ease out in first. The torque carries me pretty good, I hit second quickly and wait for him to come around me. When he gets almost a car in front of me I ease into WOT and yank a bus on him but I forget to shift!!! No worries...he's so far behind I cram it up into 3rd and yank another bus on him. As I bust out laughing, he crosses two lanes behind me and turns off. He must have wet his panties. Good thing I wasn't actually racing anybody, it could have been ugly about the time I hit the rev limiter in 2nd. Oh yea, I was joking about the title if you haven't figured by now. He got murderated in downtown Antarctica...and yes I know its a lame kill but he agged it on.

Yeah, those SIs are pretty cute. They'd make a great DD. Good kill.

Hate to ask but... what yearish?

You have the 99-00s which look just like my hatch only in coupe form.
You have 02-05 Si's which are the hatchback style. Similar to what a 2 door fit would look like.
And then you have the new Si's.

Just curious as to which one it was.

Like I said in the thread it looked like a 99 Si. What amazes me is how many kids think a shiny exhaust tip makes them fast. I hope I atleast inspired him to get some decent mods.

yea, my friends and I used to joke about welding a coffee can out back just to tease some imports...then they started getting faster so the idea seemed to fade

There seem to be an overabundance of little rich kids in my town. A lot of SRT-4's, G35's, Lexus IS series running around as well as some smaller BMW's. The Honda's and focus's seem to be a thing of the past. I'm not complaining though. At least these cars look decent. None of them can drive though. I guess that is why they get an automatic if they can. I did have 1 guy in a mid 90's civic hatchback that was primer green/orange with a body kit that was held on by bondo and smelled like someone poured a quart of oil on the header pull up to the gas pump beside me the other day. I cranking up as he was going in to pay. When he heard it cammin he looked dead at me and gave me a 2 thumbs down and a grin. I almost felt like waiting on him to come out so I could offer him a ride in a real car.

I know right...you got family cars with 6cyl. outrunning old muscle, who would have ever thought. I don't worry about any imports though, if they're stout enough to run me... more power to them, I welcome the challenge, and its more motivation for mods, but this guy was either young or stupid or both, and how's that for a run on sentence?
