ok ok.. I drive a 02 LS1 T/a Auto, Slp intake w/ smooth bellows, Throttle body spacer, Magnaflow cat-back, Aluminum driveshaft are my mods. Mustang is a 5 speed, BBK CAI, BBK 75 MM TB,BBK Catless exhuast,BBK longtube headers, eibach racing spings, Nitto DRs.
Race was from 20-120. I put it in 3rd, honked 3 times hit the gas and by 80 I looked in mirror and he was nearly 5 or more cars back, im not sure how many but it only got worse. Then we went from a 40-120.. beep beep beep and we are dead even?? once around 90 I started to pull away and won by 2-3 cars. After the race, I went to a friends house and told him about the race.. then as i was leaving the GT's friend called me and was like "why dont you bring you weak LS motor and run me" jus talkin trash. Anyways he drives a 03 Mach1 (auto) Superchips or w/e with intake and catback w/ BFGs. Im gonna run him this saturday... but what should I expect ? I think its gonna be a good race! Anyways what do you guys think.. good runs?

Nice kill. Definitely let us know how the Mach race goes, and get it on video if you can. It should be pretty good. From a dig you should take him, from a roll your auto is going to help him out quite a bit, so it should be some great runs.

Stay away from 35-45mph rolls. Thats your dead spot and is the reason the GT "hung" for a little bit. Dig or up to 25mph is optimum for you.

 

Try dig on your auto or 55 roll but if the mach is M5 he will won

 

I think he means he put it in D. There's 1, 2, D, and OD. D is the same as OD, but it doesn't go into 4th gear. The car will still shift between the first 3 gears.

Yes its 1,2,3,D. And I think ill try the Mach1 from a 20 roll. Im also gonna try for a vid. I jus gotta get a better camera. Mines broke.

 

Mach 1 autos are wayyy weaker than the M5's. Unless he's got it stalled....doubtful.

 

No hes not stalled. he jus has K/n filter and Cat back exhaust with superchip tuner or whatevr. i think it will be a good race, but everyone ive talked to says he'll pull me up top? I thought thats where LS1s came alive? oh and 20- how high of a speed? 20-120?
